Do we take Bol Bol with our 9th-10th pick (via we keep winning games). Has pretty much the same injury Joel Imbed/Frank Jackson had. They both seem to have recovered really well from it. His upside is off the charts, pre-injury he was a top 4 pick. Or does his injury scare you?

Personally I want the knicks package of Knox, DSJ, Mitchell Robinson, Zion, and a few more picks. But if we go with Boston’s package who are y’all taking with our first pick?

I would hope Keldon Johnson or Sekou Doumboya are available there. Would be really good fits in our system.

nyk only a 1 out of 7 chance to get first pick.
And he's not the automatic first pick.

Will you be happy with a complete player?
Barret and morant are both complete players.
Right now Zion is a powerful force but you can drop off and dare him to outshoot Dray green.
He's a stronger Green without the deft passing.

Honestly though, when you dig in, Barrett has a lot of work to do as well.

Some of his advanced metrics are, worrisome.

Not saying I still wouldn’t take him at three minimum, but it’s something to keep in mind.

Zion 22 9 2 in college

Green this year. 7 7 7

7 assists is way more than 2.

I stand by assertion green is better passer than Zion.
Right now.

While Zion is special defender green was dpoy in nba.

Targets in that range:

Cam Reddish
Doumbouya
Little

2nd round, target the little guy Howard.. He could be a gem (EXCELLENT 3 pt shooter)

You really can’t go wrong with either NY (Knox, DSJ, and 1’s) or BOS (Smart, Tatum, and 1’s deal) to me. I just wonder what our front court rotation will be. I don’t really want Randle and I think right now all we have is Okafor going into next year.

I like Nasir little as well, but Bol Bol’s potential is intriguing

I would be happy with morant or Barrett but they would have to throw something extra in the package, another 1st perhaps

The trade with NY wouldnt just be Knox, DSJ and the 1st, they would have to include multiple 1sts

With the Celtics package, I like keep Darius Garland.

You would have some time to develop him as Smart and Jrue could hold down the guard spots for the next few years.

Personally, I would go the route of low usage bigs moving forward. I would never use huge assets on them or give out big contracts unless they are a MAJOR difference maker (Zion)

Otherwise, give me 3-5 bigs who eat up a combined 30-35 mil at most on my cap, all with different skill sets

Darius Garland is who I’m hoping we wind up with too.

I really love a backcourt of Smart and Holiday because they compliment each other so well in Gentry’s system. They both have size and ability to defend guard positions and can penetrate with Jrue being the better finisher and Smart currently the better 3 pt shooter. Tatum could also be a potential all star and the best wing we’ve had since Masburn in his prime. I just wish we could have kept Niko to stretch the floor with a potential rim protector.

I like garland too but he’s projecting to go at 5 even with the injury, if he drops then yes I would take him, I would take a game changing guard or SF anyday over a big (excluding Zion)

Plus if we go Celtics route we would have another pick around the 12-15 range. Bol Bol may still be on the board, combined with Garland

Problem is we're not doing a good enough job of losing.

I can't decide if I'm encouraged by the way Kenny Hustle & crew are playing, or annoyed that we're screwing up our draft pick....

I feel the same way, I’m hoping the young guys play good with a one point loss every night

Again

It's impossible for them to really tank

They are not passing Memphis/Orlando/Washington(who had a fire sale)

At best they're 8-9

At worse 12-13

There's like no difference between them in a poor draft other than minuscule top pick odds
