We have nothing proven to sell to free agents right now though. Yes there is plenty of potential with Gordon and Davis, but they haven't proven anything yet.

That makes me think we are going to have to overpay if we wanna sign a very good/potential star level player this offseason.

Pek isn't worth anything near a max contract. He's better than Lopez but not in the dollar amount some are suggesting.

Pek: 52% shooting in 32 MPG

PPG RPG BLKPG PER
16.3 8.8 0.8 20.26

Lopez: 53% shooting in 26 MPG

PPG RPG BLKPG PER
11.3 5.6 1.6 18.98

it's guys like Al Jefferson, Mickael Pietrus, Pekovic, Webster, Wright, Corey Brewer and Josh Smith

Jefferson = bad fit
Pietrus = old, no good
Webster = bad player
Wright = does nothing Jason Smith can't
Corey Brewer = limited role player
Josh Smith = good fit, asking price too much

Paul Millsap would be ideal. He can bully a little bit in the post and he's a Louisiana guy (LA Tech).
Eric Maynor (RFA) would be a good player here if Pels don't go PG in draft.
Tiago Splitter would be nice Lopez back up if his price tag isn't too steep.
Nick Young would be nice piece if Roger Mason and Xavier Henry move elsewhere.

Those are the types of FAs Pelicans will get and will need.

I think we need someone to make Lopez a back up. Not the other way around.

WHEN!!!

I still like Webster and Wright. And Wright is a SF, not a C. So no need to compare him to Jason Smith.

They were out riding yesterday. Aminu didn't go but AD and Lance Thomas did. I talked to them a bit and took a picture. Davis was driving a white Bentley and Lance has a black Audi.

Leave Mason alone. My son has 3 twitter followers, and Roger Mason is one of them.

Every year fans say this. Only 9 teams have won in 30 years. It's not changing.

I really think teams are scared to go after Bynum cause of his injures and attitude saying that if he's willing to sign a 2-3 at a reasonable rate I will love to add him. People before him not playing last year thought he was the second best C behind D12.

"his max", as stated, is about 14mil. around the same as hibbert, gasol, and a couple other bigs on their 2nd contracts. pek bangs with the best of them.

those # comparisons dont tell the diff between these guys. rolo missed tons of shite at point blank range. fact. I'm talking embarrassing misses. dude is far from reliable at the rim(offensively and defensively). everyone scores on him! his per is a product of monty's management. pek just goes to work inside. look beyond the frontline stats. like ft attempts per game. actual physical battles. reliability.

"And Wright is a SF, not a C"

Dorell Wright - SF
Brandon Wright - C

Talking about Brandon Wright. Dorell is a nice shooter. I'd like to have him on my team.

I want no part of Josh Smith.

Big Al could be tolerable, but I see his contract demands being too high.

Some combination of Webster, Wright, and/or Brewer could help us seriously at the 3 until we find a long-term fix. In the case of Webster, he may be the long-term fix.
