Im fedup with my provider and looking to switch. It seems like there was talk of the Hornets leaving CST awhile back. I definitely don't wanna miss any games this year. Anyone know what's gonna go on now the we have an owner?

I think it was announced last week that Fox Sports was going to show games. They were setting up a Fox Sports New Orleans. Not sure what channel is going to pick up the games though.

Moving to a Fox Sports affiliate. Will almost certainly be available on every carrier in the region.

Gil and Bob are employed by the Hornets. Chances are they will stick around. Don't know about Victor though.

I heard Gill on WWL the other day. He was pumped up about the draft. It didn't seem like he wasn't going to be here next year. I think the Hornets will be all over WWL unlike the past with Benson as owner

You like that awesome on demand? And the awesome difference in volume with commercials? One minute you can't hear the commercial the next it's waking up my 1 year old from a nap.

I thought that was universal.

I didn't have that problem with Charter and I got all the local N.O. Channels. It was nice for the Super Bowl run. At the time Charter didn't have NFL network or CST

It was. The FCC banned it last year.

Jordy wanted the analyst tv job awhile back, one of the reasons he left his sideline gig and he was tired of the travel

Anybody know the areas that will be covered by Fox Sports New Orleans. I've seen different articles mention the number 1.6 Million people in the area will have it, but that doesn't seem like much more than the NO metro. Will other parts of the state and gulf coast get it also, if not at least CST had some other statewide and gulf coast distribution going for it.

ETA that 1.6 million was cable and Satellite homes, not population, but my basic question still stands. I know that this going to add the North Shore, but will any other places get stuck with another FSN channel that currently gets Hornets games on CST?

good question, and I don't have the answer. However, I will say that I think that 1.6 mil includes the MS and AL gulf coast, considering the potential to gain the entire saint fan footprint.

currently, with direct tv, I have fsn houston (or southwest) but don't pay for the others. I would imagine dtv would drop houston and all southeast la veiwers would gain fsn new orleans. We'll see...

does cox drop cst all together after losing the hornets and soon enough lsu?
