He'll probably be available when we pick. Same with Kyle Singler.
ETA: Just kidding.

It's protected. We could have an awful second half.

Who knows what will happen with Melo, but it's sounding on again which makes the JR Smith trade more likely.

Talks between Denver and New York have progressed, and one source said that a deal between the two sides is "65 percent complete" with the specifics to be worked out when the two parties meet face to face over the All-Star break. A similar meeting has not been scheduled with the Nets, nor has a meeting between the team's officials and Anthony been discussed as of yet.
Both Denver and New York are hesitant to meet the other's needs, but all of the involved parties have started making plans that suggest a trade is inevitable. The Knicks have reached out to several free agents with the assumption that they'll have open roster spots to fill after the deadline, including one player that is very close with Anthony.

Why in the hell would you want that crap on your team. CP3 wouldn't stand for that

I don't have to know CP to know that JR is a wreck, the total opposite of Paul.
Since you know him, ask him, and while you're at it bring the Bird Man back too, that way we can have a bunch of retarded thugs on the team again.

After his first year I realized Smith and his dad were assholes and would never fit in with Byron Scott's regime.
But now, I'm willing to do almost anything to shake things up.

If Denver blows shite up I can see that happening. We'll know in a week or so. I also keep seeing references that CP3 and JR are friends so if that's true you are completely off base in CP3 not wanting him on the team.
I can't confirm this for a fact, but I strongly suspect CP3 gets along with JR Smith better than he does with Marcus.

Taking my homer hat off...I would rather have JR over Marcus.

Me too . . . I think.

There's no doubt that JR is talented, I just don't think he fits on this Hornets team as he may have in the past. This team is a much more mature team versus the Nuggets where they are wild. I like JR there, but not here.

Maybe he's the spark we need. He can actually start at the 2.

From watching the games it doesn't seem as if CP and Marcus get along very well. I haven't seen any problems, but I just don't think they like each other from the way they act.
