So we get Lopez and give up Dyson, BM Contract, and a couple of 2nds for Lopez. Great Deal. We have a legit 5 who can guard larger centers. In Demps we trust.

Assuming Lopez gets a modest deal (4 years, 20 mil), he's a potential 10/10 big (round about, using his per 40 stats). He'll get much more PT here, out of need alone, than he did in Phoenix.

Someone on the previos pg mentioned a protected top 10. That's all I was getting it from, I would think it would make absolutely no sense to give up any sort of first rounder, sorry for the confusion.
Still, what the frick is Minny doing in this trade. Not sure why any first round pick is involved in this trade.

The first rounder makes no sense to me given the other pieces.
ETA: I was thinking that it's possible someone said, "Wesley Johnson, a first rounder, to the Suns" like extra information that he was a first rounder. That makes little sense, but it makes less to send one with him for Warrick.

Ha, kind of irrelevant that he was a first rounder, so are most vets in the NBA, but I appreciate the clarification.

I agree. I just can't see why a first is necessary. To be clear, Johnson is on a rookie deal, year 2, so it may not be obvious to a reporter.
