Nothing Thornton could do about the layup it was complete goaltending and is what cuased him to miss it. That was a bullshite ending.

The point is that Marcus is without fault on this goddamn board. I like him because he's a Hornets player but he's not a superstar and he'll probably never be one. I'm sick of seeing tons of threads about how he should play more when he's so inconsistent.

What other layup is everyone talking about that he missed?

He got fouled hard on the one he went up for after the pass from Ariza.

The other one he drove to the lane and tried to shoot over someone(look like a foul to me but I was watchig a shitty feed) and he missed.

Why don't people just accept we got screwed in a game by the refs after we had already lost Oak with an in game injury?

It's not always the refs fault when you lose a game. I can't count how many times he goes to the basket out of control and wildly misses a layup.

I think It has more to do with he has not been getting starter minutes when he is obviously the second best guard on the team. It also hurts too when he is a fan favorite being a former LSU player.

He is a hell of a lot better than Marco and Green, he should be playing more.

Did the Hornets seriously just lose to the Kings and then the Suns

This is why people can't take them seriously as a contender. A playoff team sure, but more than that, no.

Such a chickenshit argument, very Harvey Hornet-esque. No one fricking said he's a superstar, but he's a legit excellent 6th man.

As opposed to the consistently awful Bellinelli? Green is playing OK lately, but not as well as MT5 overall. And even with a poor shooting night, he added 4 assists and 10 fricking rebounds.
Such a chickenshit

He should probably play a little more, but he isn't what everyone thinks he is.

A Kings and Suns team that are coming off wins agianst the Lakers and Celtics, respectively. And both on the road, and without Okafor for half a game.

He's the overwhelming fan favorite. Maybe even more so than CP3.

Best to accept it, man. When he comes off the bench, the ENTIRE NOLA Arena gets electrified. And what hope to get more consistent does Thornton have if he gets inconsistent minutes? 32 one game, 11 the next. Literally. I know Monty has a method to the madness, but when our eyes see Belinelli being hesitant with those split second 3s he needs to take and missing wide open ones, we want to see someone do more.

As a fan of the game, I'd rather see someone get called for a charge vs a poor dribble drive leading to a missed shot 10/10 times. Because at least on a charge, you don't have to worry about transition D.

Thornton gives you MANY more of the former. Cookies is the latter.

Willie Green is fine as is, but he has a few ways to score. Mid range jumper or fast break layup. His floater's okay too.

It's just how it is, man.

Blowing Thornton?

I "blow" Thornton way less than most people on this board.

Those two teams just beat the Lakers and Celtics, literally, the game before they played us.

This wasn't a loss to the Wizards or Cavaliers, pal.

Marcus Thornton is a 41.8% fg shooter. Marco Belinelli is a 41.7% fg shooter. Willie Green is a 43% fg shooter.

He's clearly the second best guard on the team.
