In that sense, I do give Pels coaching staff lot of credit understanding that Herb has other skills and not technically limiting his potential by purposefully fitting him in that role

Agree...I was very surprised that from the git-go...the Pels seemed to be working Herb at practice all the way around the arc. This guy had "only corner 3" written all over him. His offensive game was just SO AMAZINGLY BAD...coming out of college (please don't let anybody tell you he was a PG or anything other than a HORRIBLE shooter & ball-handler). I'm shocked how far he has already come on the offensive end...& he should continue to improve fairly quickly.

All I'll say on Butler is...if he were 18 years old today...he would choose to have a totally different offensive game than he currently has. He's just too old to change at this point in his career.

He has ONE strong point on the offensive end...drawing fouls. Everything else is pretty much...average...or below average in the case of his 3-pt shooting.

I'm a homer, but I choose to include Herbert's blocks on opponent's 3 point shots in his 3 point repertoire.

What. If Herb is taking a bunch of three's and hitting them at 40%, he's just a top tier defending guy that can shoot. The only other offensive skill that he has is being a good cutter. If he starts shooting the three well then he becomes what we need even more than he is now. He's carried teams on his back to two finals.Herb is never doing that, ever

Jimmy Butlers game is not dependent on the three at all. He'll have numerous games when he's scoring 20+ points where he doesn't even take a three or takes just one. His offensive game being good is not dependent on the three at all. For Herb's offensive game to be good it would depend on his three point shot. Much less a better version.

Just a bad comparison.

He looked really confident shooting them the other night. Still think his form is poor but if it works it works. I want to see him shoot more though. First 2 seasons he averaged 2 3PA/gm. I want to see that closer to 5
