Hayes is playing low energy basketball.

Jonas makes him look like arse by comparison. I don’t understand why he just walks through his shifts.

Can’t continue this. He’s lost on defense and not impactful on offense.

Trade his arse.

He should be in the g league or over seas. This is his 3rd year and he has shown no improvement. Herb has come in and is twice the player he is already. He gotta go.

Poor IQ. If he doesn't get his splash dunks in, he tends to play with poor energy. Defensive awareness makes him unplayable.

He’s soft - can’t coach him to a better mentality.

Trade for what? He has no value.

It's just infuriating that NAW and Hayes are literally the same player they were when we drafted them.

Jax has been a massive disappointment for me… maybe the biggest of all.

NAW at least shows flashes of being a good player with some skill around the rim, finishing tough shots and hitting the 3… pepper potted around thousands of bricks.

Jax however… he seems to offer very little other than finishing a dunk and the occasional block.

Zero low post moves, below average rebounder, especially for his height. Hasn’t nailed a jumper this season. Spooned 3 layups last night. Hasn’t improved in the slightest and is more concerned with his fricking drip and Instagram highlights.

Massively disappointing.

Big summer coming up. Problem with taking 3 guys in a draft, now they are all up for extensions. Zion is easy. The other 2 are question marks right now..

I mean it’s honestly becoming pretty easy.

Jax is a minimum contract player right now

NAW is maybe a bit above that.

The only question is do you want to be the team paying them? If cheap enough I’d probably hang onto NAW as a bench spark, but Jax is basically on pace for the journeyman path until he gets his head out of his arse.

Incredibly frustrating results from our draft that year to this point.

It might have been BRmark(not sure) but a Hayes for Bagley trade would make some sense.

Kings can have an extra year to see if there is any juice in Hayes and get off a disgruntled player. Bagley, as disappointing as he is, has proven more than Hayes so far so we get a better player for depth purposes and both teams get to hope a change of scenery turns their career trajectory around.

Hell, ideally, maybe you use those talks to try and maneuver into a Buddy Hield trade using our trade exception and other players.

...and as of this writing Zion has only performed in a little over half of the games the team has played since he's been drafted (52.5%). Can a team, as porous as the Pelicans, risk over a quarter of its salary cap on a player who has, thus far, proven unreliable on game days? Or, is the team's hands tied? I hope not.

Unless some Greg Oden like reporting comes out about his foot, he’s gonna get a max contract.

If not us than someone else in RFA.

Some team will tell themselves they can do a better job with his health(and given this team’s track record they probably aren’t wrong), so it just comes down to the Pels and a willingness to cut the tie and trade him.

I personally don’t think that happens, and I wouldn’t even think about it right now.

Jax needs toShare the court with Willy or Jonas. He is not a rim protector.

You 100% let Hayes walk

He’s not an NBA player and never will be

NAW is a back of the bench player on a good team. Probably let him walk too tbh

You can’t trade them they’re not worth anything. I certainly wouldn’t pay either more than minimum and if they ask for more chuckle a little to yourself and let them walk

I am thinking NAW would get a nice contract if he hit the market this summer. As much as he has struggled, he has has better highs than Hart. Someone would give him 10M+ on a short deal. We shouldn't let him walk for nothing..

It’s year 3 and I would say the strides he has made in this department have been minimal. Super disappointing.

I mean, 3 coaches and scattered playing time tends to hinder development a bit. Who knew?

Consistent growth means you carry that over season to season, coach to coach. You’re better now then the year you were before. He hasn’t shown that.

Not to mention this isn’t rocket science. The principles are the same. Defending the PnR, rotating over depending on ball location, rebounding and rim defense fundamentals. He’s shown little to no growth, one coach or three coaches he should be significantly further along than he is.
