We won’t shoot 23% every game in a series against the Suns. If we bump up our 3 point shooting this game to our season average of 38%, it’s a completely different game. It sucks but some games are like this.
Theres no place for logic like this sir

AD was top 5-10.
Top 5 players are no doubters that they can lead you to a title.
The book is closed on AD being a legit title contending #1, he never came close.
Great #2 though.

Last night aside, I think I've seen enough to feel confident that BI and the money he's gonna get on his next contract is going to kill any chance this team has of being a contender. I'd love to see him somewhere else before next season starts, or even before the trade deadline if the right deal comes up. He shows he can be a great second option on a championship team about a quarter of the games he plays in and the rest of the time he reverts back to his comfort zone with horribly inefficient shots. Doesn't really do enough defensively to make up for it either. Just hope we can get something good enough in return and Zion works harder and finally reaches the superstar potential we all know he has.

fricking losers mentality right here. We play to win every fricking game. Blood on our wings. Flap flap flap mother fricker.

They’re either constantly hurt/injured or can’t work together.
If they got hurt this year then yep we'd all say it's over. They aren't this year. The can't work together shite is hilarious. We're the 5th seed. It's working to some extent.
quote:
We’re meanwhile waiting here just waiting for them to go through a regular season/playoffs healthy together
Yes, and if they can't this year. It's over.
quote:
I’m sorry but after 5 years they need to put up or shutup
Yes, I agree, by literally being allowed to complete the season and play in a playoff series.
quote:
They honestly don’t deserve anything when you see much younger stars like Shai, and Ant taking over the West.
What on earth have they taken over? OKC hasn't made the playoffs in 3 years, and hasn't won't a series on 8.
Ant has exactly as many playoff series wins as Ingram and Zion: zero.
But because they're 3.5 and 6 games better than the Pels this year after 45ish games, the pels don't deserve anything and they're "taking over the league"
Prisoner of the moment take man.

Do you think we should pay BI $40 million+ because that's what it will take?

So basically you’re ok giving them four years of getting healthy and when they’re healthy you’re thinking it’s somewhat working because they’re a 5 seed in the west. Sure, thats a lot of patience but ok.

You’re acting like someone was stopping them from completing a season and playing in the playoffs. The fact that it took both of them 5 years to do that is a lot to do with the players and how they prepare themselves.

Ok so if the pelicans were the number 1 or 2 seed in the west, they were constantly beating good teams in the west, and either Zion/BI were MVP candidates- you would completely dismiss that and say oh pels have done nothing in playoffs. I highly doubt that.
You can state prisoner of the moment but the fact if the matter is if pelicans were where thunder/wolves are right now- I highly doubt you would be saying oh slow down they haven’t done anything in playoffs and don’t be a prisoner of the moment.

With the talent we have on this team and how deep this team is, working “to some extent” is not even close to where we need to be.
We are at a point where one or two of these bad losses could have us in the 8th/9th seed where one bad showing and we’re headed home with another lottery pick at 14.
frick this talk of “it’s only been 45 games”. BI and Zion have been together for 5 years, that’s plenty enough time to figure it out even with the injuries.

If you are housing interceptions on a Super Bowl contender while dabbling in serial rape, I’ll root for it.
You want to pay some gangbanger to attend your school who helps bring a national championship, I’ll root for it.
I’m amoral in my sports fandom, so long as you win.
So if Zion wants to be a fat, out of shape child he better be dominating when he’s on the ball.

We have no choice but to be patient, so yes. Our star player this year has played more games than the past two seasons combined, and again, you seem to be forgetting that I've said if it doesn't work this year you have to rebuild.

You're definitely acting like you already know the results of our season.

Ok so if
Ah nope. You can't do the whole what if thing with this. You said they're taking over the league, they haven't won a playoff series. You're overreacting to how well they're doing.
But since you had to

You think there wouldn't be anyone that would say that on this board? We'd all be excited yet pensive until the playoffs. And ant isn't an mvp candidates btw.
Catastrophe syndrome has eroded this boards mentality. I'm just pointing that out. This season isn't the past season or the past 4.
It feels like a lot of people here said "pels have to make it out of the first round with z and Ingram playing games for me to see another year of the same squad", we're literally in the middle of it, but we lose to the Clippers and Nuggets on the road and the Suns at home and its over. Doesn't matter that we're the 5 seed with over 30 games to make up ground for a top 4 seed. Doesn't matter that the pels have a winning record against teams over .500. Nope.
Take the blinders off.

It'll be the biggest question mark of the offseason, I still have no clue what to do with Ingram, unfortunately I don't think the Pels do either.

Blame Zion then. The west is so fricking good this year an in shape Zion would absolutely be the difference maker.

And? We're also one 5 game winning streak away from being a top 3 seed, it's almost like we, wait for it, should just wait for the season to finish before we act like us being in the 8/9th spot is going to happen. Ffs we're definitely a better team than the Lakers and Kings and probably the Mavs and Jazz too.

You always have a choice. You don’t have to wait 5 years for it to work- frankly most NBA teams dont. I didnt forget you stated to rebuild- I agree with you- why I didnt mention it.

You still didn’t answer why you’re stating your response like the respinsibility of Zion/BI staying healthy and making the first playoffs was on them? You just redirected.

No one stated it doesn’t matter- you’re taking criticism into assuming thats what people are saying. People have higher expectations- that doesn’t equate to people don’t care about their current success.
