The raptors didn't win more than 8 games in a row during their title run. Was Kawhi the best player in the league that year?

Kawhi barely played in the regular season….
And its not about how their seasons turned out, everyone of those guys and teams you’re trying to point out already have/had plenty of playoff experience and had all the confidence in the world.
This team can’t even get a 4 game win streak going in the regular season without getting in their own head and shitting the bed after.
If we had a Jokic or Kawhi like youre so inclined to lean on, then sure we could afford to do the win 3 and shite the bed in the 4th against a top team, but we don’t have them and we don’t have that luxury.

Probably. If he wasn’t, he was on the very short list. He was a premier defensive player and scored 26 points/game for them.
In the playoffs, over 24 games, he averaged 30.5 and 9.1.
Toronto Kawhi was an incredible player. Would have loved to see that final of Durant stays healthy.

Yes it is, and if it isn't to you, it should be.
You said we need to rattle off a 10-15 game win streak, there are multiple champions that haven't rattled off 10 in the past 10 years. That's all I'm trying to say. The playoffs are a completely different animal than reg season. You have no idea how Ingram/Zion and Borrego will adjust our team play during a series.
There's just too many variables to say that we have to do x to have x when it comes to wins. We're pacing for 48 wins right now on the season without a long win streak.

Again, as stated, the difference is all those teams had extensive playoff experience before winning those championships, and those teams/guys had great regular seasons winning a bunch of games before they got to that championship level.
We cannot even get a pace going where we are a 50 win team and solidly outside of the play in game. Until we actually win something in the regular season I don’t want to hear shite about the playoffs, because we will be nothing more than a first round exit.

And with the talent and depth this team has this is completely unacceptable. We should be a 50 win team at a minimum

So we need to win a bunch of games instead of 10-15 in a row, and its more important that we get out of the 1st round than anything else.

And we don't need to win 10-15 in a row to get to a 50 win pace either.

The 10-15 win streak is what will cement in these guys heads they can be a dominant team.
Every single team/guy that has won anything of significance in the playoffs has had a stretch where they were a dominant regular season team. We have yet to see that out of this group, and this win 3 lose 1-2 is not dominant, it’s a middle of the pack team.
And saying what we should be at a minimum doesn’t mean we should be happy with 50 wins, it means from the opening tip of the season we should be a great team, not starting 4-6 and then trying to play catch up.

We've lost two in a row twice since late November, and never more than 2.

Again, I don't know that 10 is a magic number, but yeah, a nice long win streak over 4 games will go a long way towards building confidence.

Amen. We lost to a really good team that couldn’t miss a shot. It happens when you play top tier teams sometimes. That loss didn’t the least bit discourage me, I was actually encouraged. Even with us getting blown out the team kept the ball moving, our shots just didn’t fall that night. They are learning how to play with each other finally, especially Zion and Bi. They have looked really in-sync on the floor with each other. BI is an assist machine now which helps if he’s having an off night. Same with Zion. If I have a gripe about anything from the last game it was that they didn’t go inside to Jonas enough for high percentage shots.

It happens when we play any team that has any sort of physicality with us.

This has to happen before their 5th year together, and way before the 45th game of the season.

Why all the negativity? You can’t enjoy that we have a really good, young squad that is growing and developing. Do they need to win every game for you to be happy? I love watching this team play ball and in a playoff series I can guarantee you no one would want to have to play the Pels. Yes it has taken longer than expected to get them playing solid ball but they are now so how about just try to enjoy it?

There's this thing called a salary cap you conveniently keep ignoring.

I know the potential this team has and I know where we should be, and its not absolutely shitting the bed in every big moment, and definitely not fighting trying to stay out of the play in.

This has been the excuse for 5 years now. OKC is the youngest team in the league and look at where they are, and that’s with less overall talent than we have, and their leader is twice the player our so called leader is.

After watching this team shite the bed in nearly every big moment they’ve had you really think the top teams are scared of us?

Yea it has taken 5 years to just be a solid team. We should be playing well above solid level by now, we should be a very good team on the verge of great.

This board is very temperamental.
Lots of emotional hot takes.
That’s true of most fan boards.
Loots of deep breaths required.
We have a competitive and entertaining team.
