Griffin hasn't collected AD offers.

According to Marc Berman of the New York Post, Griffin "has not begun collecting new offers because he is still adamant about changing Davis' mind about wanting out of New Orleans."

I'm not sure why Marc Berman would know that information, I doubt he has much in the way of connections to our FO, unless he has connections with Langdon.
It could be that's what we are telling the Knicks, in which case it would make sense for him to have that info.
My guess is he is in contact with those teams, and they have all spoken in terms of hypotheticals, or through back channels, but he is not "collecting official offers" yet or having official trade talks until after that meeting.

To be fair, Griffin has been busy putting together management team. It’s not surprising.

There's nothing wrong with Griffin waiting. We have time, and he's building a staff and an entire front office.
Talks probably won't get hot until the draft is approaching.

That would also explain the report this morning about the Knicks not putting the #3 pick in AD offers which is just absurd. That leak plus this report is “we like the #3 pick better than AD anyway”, which again is absurd.
Griffin seems like a power of positive thinking kind of guy and the previous regime already did most of the AD trade leg work. Him being all in on convincing AD to stay until they have the meeting makes sense.

He has been busy; he doesn't have a 1 track mind. Griffin and Gentry were at the combine. If they thought AD was leaving, they would have more thoroughly focused on potential lottery picks at the combine. They contacted Zion and Ja; the only other lottery picks connected to the Pelicans are Culver and Hayes. That doesn't sound like a team expecting to have multiple lottery picks.

WHAT ABOUT RJ BARRETT AND MITCHELL ROBINSON? DO THEY HAVE TO BE IN THE DEAL?
There remains no consensus among Knicks decision-makers about including the No. 3 overall pick in a Davis trade, per sources. Obviously, the Knicks would prefer to keep the No. 3 overall pick (which is expected to be Barrett) and young center Mitchell Robinson out of any trade talks. But at current cap projections, they'd need to include at least one of the two in a trade if they hope to sign both Durant and Irving -- or two other max free agents with similar service time -- and trade for Davis.

So the only reason they even need to include one of Robinson/#3 is for salary reasons. How can New Yorkers be so dumb that they want to read patronizing bullshite like this?

So I guess they think they can get AD for DSJ, Know and Ntilikina? Really?

The report was probably a bunch of Knick retard fans wishcasting.
They keep posting all kinds of stuff about how they will make all these acquisitions without sending out the 3 or other players on their roster.
Kind of like the Laker retards insisting their shite sandwich was the best deal we were going to get because we were getting like 6 players and a bunch of picks... who couldn’t win next to LeBron and which would be late in the draft years from now.

They are so desperate they will buy any shite being shoveled out.
They haven’t been relevant for more than one season since about 1999.

The Knicks see the writing on the wall. They don't want to go through the same thing as the Lakers last season. You don't tell young players that you believe in them and then try to trade them. This makes them feel like they're plan B. It's near impossible to regain that players confidence. I think the Knicks know we're keeping AD, so they want Barret to feel like he's their plan A (even though everyone knows he isn't).

I’m pretty adamant about winning the lottery too...

Trust me I have been reading Knicks hypos for months with them trading us a bag of dicks for AD. It is pretty humorous.
Besides the Knicks have to posture like this up until a deal actually happens. Really nothing to see here.

I get what you're saying; I wouldn't use adamant to describe winning the lottery. In my opinion, winning the lottery keeps AD in town. Since AD liked playing next to Boogie, he should love playing next to Zion. Zion's ball handling and passing skills are at least as good as Boogies. I think of Zion as an ultra-athletic mix of Draymond Green and Larry Johnson.

Here's a video clip from Mike Schmitz highlighting Zion running 4/5 PnRs and how he'd pair well with AD.

Yeah, he should.
But this isn't about that. He wants to be in a big market. The end.

You don't understand. He wants out. And he wants to come to the Knicks. We have to do what he wants or we are evil.
So just do it.
So just do it.
