It’s kinda bullshite that you get fine for speaking the truth. I get that it would set a dangerous precedent not to fine someone that publicly went scorched earth on the officiating, but here’s an idea, why not fix the officiating instead of fining people for daring to truthfully speak out against about how shitty said officiating is?

They shouldn’t become public figures, but they should have public grades. Prove that the errors that get marked against them in the last 2 minute report, and presumably throughout the game, matter.

Yeah, that has nothing to do with being God-fearing or patriotic. That's about totalizing politics and letting it dominate everything in your life. When you make politics the thing that drives all of your life's decisions, that's the opposite of fearing God -- it's idolatry, about making politics your God.
I absolutely, positively guarantee that you spend far, far more time on right-wing media outlets than you do at church or in Bible study.
