Also interested in Conley. Why the hell are they pursuing guards?

I could see Gordon going to the rockets and averaging 25 a game cause of dantoni's run and gun, then the sports media thinks we fricked up until Gordon gets hurt. And we will laugh

Gordon will probably have an injury free career after he leaves the Pels.

Doesn't Gentry run the same system? Or at least attempt to?

What's the odds of him taking a pay cut even though the cap space went up?

Stats are similar.

Injury history.

Who's been on the court more to produce for their team the last few years?

Can't have your top two players on the team constantly be hurt. As hard as AD plays (causing him to he injured), he needs someone who is on the court to carry the load by himself.

That's not Jrue

And where has Conley carried his team by himself?

The only thing Conley has in his favor is injury history but jrues record was spotless before this bad luck.

They're in the same tier and are both gifted 2 way players. Conley has also played on much better teams throughout his career.

I mean if I were Gordon, I would be ranking my potential teams by the quality of their training/medical staff.

If the guy can stay healthy and has two solid defenders on either side of him, he can be a great 4th option and a solid enough team defender.

I think Conley is on another level as a facilitator. Conley is right below the CP3 tier as a facilitator, even if his assist numbers don't bear that out because they run through Gasol as well. Put him in a system like Gentry's and I would expect career best assist numbers.

I really like Jrue's defensive versatility though. His ability to switch onto 3 positions competently. Especially with a guy like Buddy coming aboard.

Introducing the 2016 NBA Free Agency All-Cap-Killer Teams
Yahoo!

EG only 2nd Team!

"Eric Gordon

It’s hard to believe Gordon is still only 27 years old. It seems like a generation ago he was the centerpiece of the Clippers’ trade for Chris Paul, but that was only four and a half years back. Since then, Gordon has earned $58.4 million and never played more than 64 games in a season for New Orleans, including three seasons of 45 or fewer games. Injuries riddled a once promising career.

But because he remains 27 years old and averaged 15 points a game while shooting 40 percent from 3-point range over his last three (partial) seasons on the Pelicans, plenty of teams will be interested in him on a one- or two-year trial deal. The problem will be when those teams begin outbidding each other with more years and millions until Gordon ends up with another four-year, $60 million contract."

Derrick Rose is in full-on recruiting mode for Eric Gordon
NY Post

"ORLANDO, Fla. — Derrick Rose’s words have already resonated with center Joakim Noah. Now Rose is trying to sway shooting guard Eric Gordon to reunite with him in New York.

According to an NBA source, Rose has reached out to Gordon, the free-agent shooting guard who’s had injury issues, but is the best 3-point shooter on the market.

Another NBA source told The Post the Knicks’ interest in the 6-foot-4 Gordon is gaining heavy traction within the organization as they desperately search for an affordable starting shooting guard.

Rose and Garden have a nice history — once called “The Eric and Derrick Show.” Rose and Gordon were teammates on a Chicago-based AAU team, called the Mean Streets Express. Some still regard it as the best backcourt tandem in AAU history."
