3 guys with 1 post in the same thread.
To answer your question: no, he has not directly said anything negative about New Orleans. He hasn't helped his cause, though, after his seeming disinterest in the team last season and the recent quote about his heart being in Phoenix.

I wasnt the biggest Austin Rivers fan I'll admit, but dammit........his genuine excitement to be drafted to NOLA and very thing he said sure was refreshing. I sincerely beleive he's genuine. I'm gonna pull for that kid really hard.
Not gonna lie, it felt damn good to hear Reece Davis say..."and you can see Austin Rivers smiling...he wants to be a Hornet, and the Hornets can now take him"

If he was dead set on not playing in Nola, I'd consider Gortat/Dudley/ Morris and/or 2014 1st rounder
JJ/Vasquez
Rivers/Xavier
Dudley/Aminu/Miller
Davis/Smith/Ayon/Morris
Gortat/Smith/Morris
Not a bad crew. Certainly not a great team, but the fact that you will have a SHITLOAD of cap space next year to bring in 2 above average players and max them. Its better than having Gordon pissed and "hurt" for half the season b/c he doesn't want to be here

Marshall,Gortat and a 1st for Gordon,Vasquez?
Nice trade for NO. Gortat and Davis would own the paint and Marshall is a nice young PG. Let Rivers start at the 2 from the jump.
Plus I think Gordon is overrated so the 1st could be valuable.

I obviously want Gordon stay...
Howeva, an unbiased opinion....if Gortat and Gordon were coming out in the same draft and you were GUARANTEED a Center that would give you 15+/10+ or an undersized SG that was GURANTEED to give you 20+, every team in the league would take the big man.

Agreed. Its rare to find a big man who can give you 15+/10+ and 1-2 blocks each night

I don't like Marshall at all. I'd MUCH rather an unprotected first + Gortat, especially given EG's injury history. Otherwise I think we can get more from Houston.

how about?
Gordon and Vasquez for Marshall/Gortat/Dudley and a 1st rounder?
JJ/Marshall
Lee/Rivers/Henry
Dudley/Aminu/Miller
Davis/Smiht/Morris
Gortat/Smiht/Morris?

I like Vasquez. Let's see what is really goin on with Gordon maybe he wants to stay.

none of these hypothetical rosters make me want to fap

I'd rather the Rockets keep their young guys and tank than overpay for Gordon. Looks like things will play out that way regardless.

Or C, he had to sell Phoenix that they had a legit shot to get him or they wouldn't have offered him the max.
You may be on to something....

1 more mediocre year, AND THEN a tank season would be best for Houston when Parker and Wiggins should be coming out.
Posted on 7/4/12 at 12:07 am to mattz1122
If it comes to it, your Rockets will get Demps'd. Montiejunas, Lamb, and K Mart will be Hornets if we want them to be. Might even get more than that.

More than what the Suns have to offer. I'll leave it at that.

Lamb played alil PG at connecticut. He has a unique skill set, could be one of the top stars of this draft IMO.
