The Hornets will do one of two things:
1) Match the offer
2) Sign and trade Gordon before he signs the offer sheet.

Basically. There's a very high probability that Gordon made his comments while in the moment with Phoenix trying to make him feel like Kobe. Dell and Monty can easily sell to him that NOLA is a better option and bring him back on the max offer.
