I hope I’m wrong about this but I can’t help but wonder if she at all costs will not go over the cap.

It would surprise me greatly to see her shell out over the cap for a team that is 2-3 pieces away from competing.

Now is not the time to pay the tax just so we can get the 4 or 5 seed.

I don’t know of a better time in the history of this franchise to go over the cap than now.

Like 80% of the nba is in the same boat. If you aren’t the warriors, lakers, rockets, sixers or Celtics...what’s the point

I’m curious to see what we offered Cousins before I criticize the front office for being overly cheap. Hopefully we at least made a respectable offer and got turned down and Boogie is just taking way less money to ring chase with KD for a season

I agree I hope I’m wrong. It would be no surprise to me that Boogie would get his feelings hurt and do what he did. It’s just hard for me to believe that we didn’t get either too cocky with our leverage or Gayle pulled them away from the deal to stay out of the tax.

I would also not be surprised if he’s using this as his only leverage to show them he will leave and then we offer a better deal and he flips his decision.
