I'm a broken record, but overtime DOES NOT HAPPEN if we just use our timeouts and advance the ball in the last 30 seconds
It's pretty amazing we didn't call it immediately and also amazing that we didn't call it as soon as JJ went down.

Man, that was frustrating. That and Bledsoe's inability to get the ball past half court 3 straight times against McConnell.

Don't take all of the blame coach, this is a good loss to put on the players so they learn. They lost this game because TJ fricking McConnell outworked them. They need to learn to never take their foot off the gas.

You know the physical things are goung to happen, frustrating as they are. It's just such an automatic coaching thing to use your timeouts late to advance the ball.

Well he hasn’t been complete arse this year. He wasn’t a good shooter tonight.

JJ and Melli are meant to be shooters completely. It is nice watching JJ play hard, but we need his elite shooting.

Also Lonzo was HOT tonight. I really think he should have taken some more shots

I hope he actually believes this and it isn't just coach speak, like him taking blame for JJ's shooting.

Van Gundy blew the end of that game about as badly as a coach can.

Honestly I saw WAY too many lazy inbounds passes with this guy right there.

That's part really bad coaching, and part player effort. Not that hard to throw the ball in a little harder than the soft lob you are used to because people rarely challenge inbounds passes.*

*I made a living on things like that; it catches teams off guard when you blitz the inbound like that because of how rare it is. Really don't get why it isn't done way more often in the league.

SVG should take a timeout and chew arse the first time someone gives up a lazy turnover after the inbounds. I can see forgiving it once, but damn they are we’re getting ridiculous.

Zion had 35 minutes. It's why i think Zion must have 30 minutes per game this season.

A match every 2 days and back-to-back the calendar this year...
Zion is not used to it yet. This is his real rookie season.

He played the entire 4th quarter. Did you miss that too?

Right. That's why I say it's very much a coaching issue. If you see guys being lazy with the inbounds and you don't try to correct it, I can't 100% fault the players. Yes they should know better but it's like a child letting their room get messy. If you don't get on them it'll only get worse.

, entering tonight, teams were were 8,104-2 in the last 10 seasons when leading by 6+ points with under 25 seconds remaining in the regulation.
SVG might need a game manager next to him, because its literally unexplainable that he didn't call a timeout after Oladipo made the first 3.

You call timeout and advance the ball specifically so you don't turn it over on their side of the court. You DEFINITELY CALL TIMEOUT after you stupidly didn't do it before, and your team is struggling to get it over half court.

SVG's rotations are really weird anyway.

They gave the game away with that horrible turnover.

100%. Too tight. Too many minutes for guys that are struggling. Too many odd pairings.

He seems to be getting worse with it instead of better. He had some good stuff pairing wise in preseason and the first 3 games. Now it looks like shite.

Was that JJ that mishandled the initial inbound and fell? Hard to blame Lonzo when the ball barely got to him and he was immediately swarmed trying to get the handle.

Yep, JJ... But if you rewatch, Lonzo lost the ball on his own.

Sure he was swarmed, but that shouldn't excuse just fumbling the ball after getting it and dribbling.
