Basically, this team needs the most complete center in the history of the NBA to offset the glaring hole on the wing.

I agree when Hill is in there. It's pretty difficult to compete with two guys scoring 5 points in a game. Not so sure I agree you can't have a very good offense with Asik and Tyreke in at the same time surrounded by Jrue, Moore and AD.

He means it from the standpoint that Asik hangs out around the basket so he would most likely clog up the lane for Tyreke who is known for attacking the basket. It wouldn't leave a lot of space.

A legit 3 who can play on the perimeter or drive to the basket while still bringing it on the defensive end would really allow us to run the same free flowing offense as GS (just in a much less talented way). Asik becomes the Bogut type big in that type of lineup

Asik and Reke played fine together in '14.

Here's the thing, though. If Gentry is going to play Reke, Al needs scrap the space and pace crap and just let Reke and AD PnR everyone to death. Reke is going to dominate the ball, and he won't play any other way, so you may as well roll with it. That plan brought Monty to the playoffs, so it't not the worst idea ever.

ETA: Then you flip Reke at the break for your best offer.

I actually love this idea. I can't be the only one who petrified of our second unit inability to grab boards and defend the post. I think honestly that's where most of our losses came from. No second help.

Trust me, I get why Tyreke and Asik isn't ideal. And why we really need a good SF still. I don't disagree. But not having Asik down low to defend and rebound is devastating to this team's defense. We are atrocious rebounding and Jones adds very little in that regard. Asik is not down low in the lane trying to back people down on offense. He's pretty good at getting out of the way.

I would bet anything that Jrue, Moore, Tyreke, Davis and Asik would score just fine. And I would also bet anything that a lineup with Jones instead of Asik is going to struggle mightily rebounding and playing defense.

But I will be very happy to find out, as that means our players are healthy.

Having Jrue and Rek in the starting lineup should greatly help our rebounding. Just stagger Tyreke mins so he get a lot of run with the second unit.

Who do you think we will get for Tyreke?
Another SF or a C?

Or just a salary dump and leave a spot open to re-sign Stevenson?

Don't see the value if its a salary dump in December as we could use the wins. He'd have more value in late Jan to a playoff team.
