He's never shown up to the team.
If you buy him out, you don't have to pay him the full amount you owe him, so that helps.

If he is currently just chilling at home why the frick would he take a buyout? If I am chilling at home for $4 million I ain't agreeing to chill at home for $2 million.

If he wants out he wants to play so you can hopefully save the $400k prorated veterans minimum he could get if he got signed by a team.

whats Banks problem with playing for us anyway? can't we try to make him show up to play and if he doesn't show up cut him with no penalty?

I was under the impression Demps basically told him don't bother showing up.
