We also got something similar from Windhorst this morning.

Hell you could even do an NFL style bracket stage

1st place teams get a first round bye, and 2nd and 3rd place teams play cross bracket best of 5 games.

And then once you get to 8 teams you play best of 7

no. use stats from the playoff.

head to head.

did you beat the #1?

did you lose to the #5?

to use soccer example, if teams have same record they dont advance uruguay just. because they beat brazil in their region before wc play. uruguay already got a good pot for their play before the wc.
