Except that he pulled himself out due to being gassed twice last night.

Players do that all the time. Zion doesn't get the same credit due to lack of minutes though.

Hes in far better shape than he was to start the season, I think he just needs to do more endurance training and, for the love of God, cut weight during the asb

Because Zion is notorious for shedding weight whenever there are lengthy breaks between basketball games.

While I agree he is in better shape, it's January and he's still not in great shape. Frankly, I'm concerned that he's going to fall off an absolutely cliff in the next few years as his athleticism wanes. He just hasn't developed his game to make up for it. If he wants to play into his 30s, he needs to start working on a consistent jumper 2 years ago.

He's probably about the same size there.

No way. Look at his face, even in the more current pictures pels post. Far more leaner.

Which is why I said for the love of God.

I hope he wakes up to king cake baby staring at him every day at 5am to go run. Joggers on and all

I feel like I'm being placebo'd here.

Seriously, not trying to be a dick, but the face looks largely the same, no pun intended. I'm sure he is in better shape now compared to the start of the season, but I don't see much body transformation.

He hit his shoulder on the backboard like 3 games ago

Again, what are y’all watching?
Again, you're mistaking saying he's not as athletic as he used to be with saying he's not athletic.

There's no chance you can watch Duke or Pels rookie preaseason highlights and come out thinking he looks just as athletic and explosive today...no chance.

If you watch the games- this is a constant problem we have issues throwing him the ball inside.

Do stars do that after only playing 5 or 6 minute spurts all the time?

I don't think that's correct.

Come on man…

saying he doesn’t have NEAR that explosiveness is just crazy

If you can’t see the insane difference between Zion today and rookie preseason Zion then I can’t help you.

He's not a superstar and he's not a power forward he doesn't rebound or play defense he is just an excellent scorer at some point we have to stop lying to ourselves

Fantastic move by Griffin that summer to spend our max salary slot on the corpses of Derrick Favors and JJ Redick. That veteran leadership paid off in a big way.
