Most of those players were soft as frick. Vets and young players. Fears was talking shite to vets last year and did not gaf. Fears is more likely the type of guy to actually convince other players to play here.
You just kicking Dejounte Murray to the curb?

No, the response was in reference to past players on the team that were soft. Fears has been different than most or all rookies/ vets on the team. Murray is not soft but he also could easily move on in a year and not want to recruit people here.
Trey, BI, Hawk, CJ, etccc. Soft as shite.
Its really the main reason fans like Jose/ Naji, they aren't pussies and actually brought some energy to games.
Unfortunately they just aren't the level of players who truly change the culture or bring others in. Fears can be that guy.

Your point isn't without merit

I love KD, one of my all time favorite players, so on one hand I really like this. On the other hand I can't help but think KD is saying "Look, if you don't win in a few years get yo arse out of New Orleans and go chase a ring."
Either way, hoping Fears has a huge year.

The first three I’ll give you. CJ soft as shite? Stupid.

It is not. CJ is a nice guy who can be tough. We need tough guys who can be nice.
CJ will defend people if necessary. CJ will not go around starting shite and getting in people's heads.
CJ will give reserved answers/ coddling approach instead getting on people's asses.
He may tell Zion and others to get their shite together but he's not going to literally fight them or call them pussies to there face like Green, Butler, etch.

And that’s soft?? Are you serious? What you just said isn’t even remotely soft.

CJ is seen as a reserved, respected, leader. He isn't an enforcer, aggressive, tough, loud mouthed, outspoken, etcccc.
If you make a chart that's (Soft 1-10 Tough) then CJ is like a 4-5 at max.
You have years of data saying otherwise from players who know he's a nice/ quiet guy who just grinds. NBA, media, and coaches would all agree.
Please make a real argument instead of just saying "What! CJ is soft". That's not an argument and the dude is indeed soft in regards to this conversation and the level of impact we are talking about.
Why does everything have to be a ridiculous argument? You can criticize people without it becoming their whole opinion of them.
No one is going around saying "oh yeah CJ McCollum he's a tough guy"

He's also somewhat of a malcontent, a weird guy with a weird personality, that fricking JETTED out of a small market the first chance he got and has bounced around the league like crazy
