I'd rather Smith jr. Him and Drue would be a stupid good backcourt.

Team is also going to leak nonsense to help drive up Boston's offer. Gasp!

Not Boston's first rodeo, though.

So for the Celtics part... no Brown? Rozier? Smart? I'd take Brown, Tatum, Rozier and both picks anyday

Problem with McCollum is he’s about to be 28. I’m a big fan of his, but I’d prefer a younger guy.

McCollum has really just entered his prime. And Davis is only two years younger. I like the Portland deal.

Personally, I'm not in favor of tearing everything down and doing a Philly-style rebuild. I'd much rather let Zion develop on a quality team.

For

AD
Solo
And whatever makes the #'s work.

The Knicks literally have to trade everyone on their roster just to make the AD trade possible, and they still come up short salary wise. It's impossible for them to take Solo, or shall i say, the whole idea of them completely gutting their roster to get AD, is so they have enough cap space after to still sign two max guys, so taking on Solo would defeat the purpose.

There's no urgency on my end to trade Solo this offseason. Unless he's needed in the trade to make salaries work, hold onto him until February and see if you can move him then, and if not, oh well, just let him expire. There is absolutely no reason to give up any asset whatsoever to move Solo just to move him. Now if you can move him to say Atlanta for a 2nd to get Bazemore, then ok.

If Celtics offer

Tatum and brown (who I think can develop into an elite 3 and D guy) then that’s great for us. Add 14 Memphis pick Marcus smart and future pick and swaps and I’m in.

If knicks offer knox, 3, Robinson, DSJ (would like him on 3rd team) both Dallas picks and future firsts from them then I’d consider theirs but still like Boston more

Clippers SGA, Shamet, Wallace, Miami pick, multiple future first, and Harrel (to possibly be traded to third team for more assets)

I like Boston package the best

But I think SGA and Shamet fit better with Zion skill set

You mean just like Boston using their reporters to leak info to down play other team's offers? Not Griffin's first rodeo either.

I think a Pels/Celtics/Pacers 3-way could work with Brown going to the Pacers and Turner, Tatum, and Smart going to the Pels. Pels also getting the Memphis pick.

This is my ideal scenario, but I think a 4th team would need to be involved like Phoenix.

Pelicans get: Tatum, Turner, McDermott, Yabusele, Ellie okobo, Ojeleye, 6th pick from Phoenix, Memphis pick.

Suns get: Brown, Smart, Clippers pick

Celtics get: AD, Etwuan Moore

Pacers get: TJ Warren, Robert Williams, Sacramento pick

Why the Pelicans do it: Obvious reasons, you get your blue chip talent in Tatum and possibly another with the 6th pick. The coveted Memphis pick. A center in Turner that can space the floor and play defense, a shooter off the bench on a reasonable contract in McDermott, that might be able to be flipped to a contender at the deadline. Young, salary controlled prospects that might develop into decent bench pieces.

Suns: Get their defensive minded, gritty point guard who can bring the leadership and energy the suns need to take the next step. Also Jaylen brown who could be a nice 1-2 punch with booker that can also defend.

Pacers: No longer have to make the decision to lose either Sabonis or turner for nothing, while getting a lottery pick, and a starting small forward on a decent contract, and a bench big.

Celtics: Superstar to pair with Kyrie, Hayward, and Horford. And Etwuan can plug in at the 2 as the starter.

Haven't done the math in a minute, but if they include Ntilikina and sign the #3 first, I think they can retain the $71m needed for KD and another max, while still being able to trade for AD (provided he waives his trade kicker).

Close enough, anyhow. Maybe the max guys take just under the max to make it work, as both LBJ and Bosh did when signing with the Heat (which were also sign-and-trades in the end, I think).
