Other than the initial buyout rumor, I haven't seen anything on Williams except that he's listed on the official team roster. He's got a $1.3 million team option for next season (Melvin Ely deal) and is hitting 39.5% on his 3s, I don't see why you'd buy him out, could be useful. He may not be known for defense, but surely he has to be better than Babbit if the opposing SF has any mobility.

That's kinda what I was thinking. It didn't make a whole lot of sense to buy him out. He could be the 5th forward (not counting Evans).

Agreed, I don't see why they would buy out Williams, unless they need that roster spot for something. Even then, you could just buy out Hamilton. It is strange that the team has yet to put out anything about him like they did for Hamilton.

On today's Black and Blue report Sean Kelley said it still "unclear what roles if any Williams or Hamilton will have going forward."
Also don't expect to see Cole tonight, it could be Monday before the physical happens and he is official.
