One of my favorite Hornets/Pelicans. His mid-range jumper was damn near automatic those 2 years he went to back to back all star games.
What made him a badass is I've seen players talk shite to D. West before and I knew noone in the NBA could whip his arse.

him being able to stretch the floor with that mid-range J certainly opened up a lot of those CP3 -> Tyson Chandler "Crescent City Connection" alley oop jams
b/c if the D collapsed on Chandler... there was West for the wide open jumper which was points on the board when it left his hand

I love Joel, he is incredible and I wouldnt trade him for anyone. But I look back on some of Bobs calls very fondly and Gil Mcgregor with the corny lines. Great memories. CP3 buzzer beater against Indiana comes to mind.

Doubt it. The organization seems okay with white washing anything not relating to the Pelicans. They got rid of the division banner as Hornets as well as Phill's jersey.

If the Pels don't celebrate that 08 roster they are doing themselves a disservice.
Personally I always preferred West to Paul.
There is no reason the Pels should have Pistol's or BP's number in the rafters.
