That’s the point. We had options in 22 to trade Zion. Not saying that was the right move, but to me that is the make or break for Griff.

We will see.

My dream is some kind of massive investment group with a primary owner that isn't a massive sports guy, but with the Mannings involved as front people for both teams

I could maybe see something like this. It would have to be a group that has strong connections to NOLA.

This is where i wish Gayle had heirs. She could pass it down to them like Dr. Buss and the Lakers.

Griffin is a smart guy.

This franchise has been snakebit
since that broke dick Carolina snake oil salesman let a championship nucleus slip through his fingers.

THe idea that Willie is already marked as a miss is pretty silly.

He's coached 2 seasons. His best player has averaged 14.5 games played.
Every smart national guy says Willie's a really good coach. Moron Pelicans fans think he sucks.

His best player never plays and 2nd best player rarely plays. I still can't believe we managed to go +.500 last year.

If Zion has another “I don’t feel like me” season where he misses a ton of games, I think the heat will be nuclear on him.
Well he already pulled it in the preseason. Teammates had to call him, "up" for him to give a shite the next game.

Griffin, Trajan Langdon and Willie all should go if this season goes south. The “ Run it Back” strategy is very risky for team that didn’t make the playoffs

Yes effort lacked in preseason which is concerning. But when he played last season in the regular season I didn’t see any effort issues, instead he was always setting the tone. And the “I dont feel like me” attitude issue was a lot to do with his rehab and issues with Nelson. I honestly think even if hes out of shape, he’ll play this season. I think Nelson was a big part of holding him back. I think the players (Zion and BI) took the brunt of the blame because Nelson was pretty strict when it came to getting guys back on the court. Just my hopeful theory, I could be wrong.

I think if there are any flaws with Willie it was that it was difficult for him to balance the offense and defense, which he himself acknowledged. But keep in mind Griffin wouldn’t even let him choose his own staff till this year. Adding Borrego and couple other guys will help Willie focus more on overall game tactics and strategy.

Willie is so far down our list of issues.

He got us to the #6 defense last year. Yeah the offense sucked but that'll happen when your 2 best players play 74 combined games.
