I'd love to see him on this team, but the Lakers are in cap hell with mozgov and deng. Probably aren't going to trade one of their top young players without getting rid of one of those god awful contracts.

I don't like Russell enough to take either, but if I had to choose I'd go with Deng. Given the direction of the league and the state of this team's SF position, I think we get more use out of another meh SF that also brings veteran leadership than a defensive center that Gentry probably wouldn't play.

To be fair the Lakers FO did end up getting fired and there was some crazy stupid nepotism family drama BS in the middle of all of their management decisions. Also, last summer was crazy because you had an unprecedented spike in the cap and not many good FAs to throw the money at but you had to do something with the money. Many teams also mistakenly thought the cap project for next year would rise by $3 million rather than decline by $6 million, so they thought they'd have $9 million more to work with this summer than they actually will.

I seen something saying that the brow and boogie combination isn't working and boogie to the lakers trade for #2 and a few players could happen... it's only been a few games so far so idk if I would say it's not working but...for entertainment purposes

AD and Boogie are friends off the court and have talked about playing together in the past. I'm not sure Jimmy Butler convinces Anthony "I'm not a center" Davis to stay in NOLA as much as Cousins does. Before the trade I think 99.9% of us would have chosen Butler over Cousins. But now I'm not sure that's the right call if the goal is getting AD to extend.
