He has no power... have you not being paying attention to the last few days? No team is gonna pay Stern's price.
Posted on 12/12/11 at 1:52 pm to MrPappagiorgio
I'm happy Stern looking out for us, but his price is way to high for Paul. If somebody wants to deal an arm and leg for him AWESOME!!! But I don't see it happening

If I'm one of 29 other GMs interested in CP3, I'm now demanding to only negotiate w/ league, not Demps. League's made him a stooge.
How long does Demps put up with this shite?

I think it's time to move on, sign what FAs you can and explore deals again towards the trade deadline.
Posted on 12/12/11 at 1:56 pm to Smedium27
How can y'all say the price was too high? No Gordon, no deal. You accept without him and you're an idiot.
Posted on 12/12/11 at 1:57 pm to Smedium27
they fricking did...the Lakers 3 way deal was a good one in retrospect
shite.
shite.

And keep in mind that the sports writers knee jerking to everything on twitter are making this seem much worse than it is. Assuming the break point for the deal was Gordon rather than Bledsoe, Demps probably would have rejected the deal too.

i think the clippers have to do it.
this is their chance to get a superduperstar, and one makes their burgeoning superstar 10x better.
they need to give up gordon, aminu, bledsoe, kaman + the pick. they will make the playoffs next year. immediately.
also, guys, bledsoe was a super highly rated pg in the draft. he would've been even higher had he not played on the same college team as john wall.

I agree. Clippers were trying to frick us. Eat shite L.A.

agreed.
this trade would make both teams better.
i can see them wanting to keep that pick, though.

I think Stern is practically forcing CP3 to resign w/ NO
Posted on 12/12/11 at 2:00 pm to Puddinhead
I think Stern wants a Western team to give everything up for Chris, but for a Eastern team he wouldn't care just so the East can balance out with the West

Agree with everything except bledsoe. Dude is highly overrated. Basically a backup who can shoot threes. Unless he seriously learns the way to be good, he'll be just that his entire career.

SOMEONE will pay the price for Paul.
People think that the Hornets don't have any leverage. But they do. They have a player that everyone wants.
The Hornets have a superstar PG. Yes he can leave, but the NBA is under no real pressure to trade him. The NBA doesn't have a personal stake in seeing the hornets win, only a business one.

People! This wasn't about Bledsoe. Clippers wouldn't turn that down. This is about Gordon.

Good luck with that.
I think that MLB players won lawsuits in collusion cases with less evidence than CP3 would have.

hey they only reason they got griffin is because they were lucky enough to draft him.
But for the most part, no FAs want to play for Donald Sterling. The man is cancer.
