Perkins for the leadership he brings.

Dante is a hustle guy and one of our better options at defending bigger wings like LeBron and he's hitting the 3 at 37%.

I get that both guys have positive attributes, but IMO they're hardly irreplaceable.

Donte's net rating is consistently in the negative. I know that's not the be all, tell all, but it doesn't exactly scream "core player" or "key reserve" either.

I don't think they're irreplaceable as much as you aren't likely to get anything from trading them and won't get better replacements by signing other guys for the same amount, so you might as well keep them.

Exactly. You don't just give away role players on bargain deals because they aren't "key" players.

Yeah but if you needed cap space to upgrade the starters you don't hesitate to dump them.

Wouldn't be mad about Cole because Ish deserves the time, but moving Anderson seems like a bad move.

I admittedly don't know anything about the contract situation with Ryno..if that's the motive.

if the plan is to include Cole in any trade it cannot happen before the 15th.
Anderson can be traded now

He is willing to post up, he plays hard, he can shoot, he can shoot from mid range, he isn't afraid to bang bodies. He is a positive team mate, if we get rid of him Dell better be fired.

I agree. I can both believe Tyreke is a skilled NBA player and say I don't want him on this team moving forward. I think he will always get his stats, but he is only a net plus if he dominates the ball and I don't think he ever dominates the ball for a contender.

All the respect in the world for the guy and his grit and improving his jump shot, but he does not fit the style I want to see this team play. I guess that makes me an "idiot" according to the OP. Such is life.

I understand the criticism of Evans, but he brings a lot of positives to this team. If he's not long term, though, we need to get something in return.

Anderson may be a luxury w can't afford, but I love the guy. Plays hard and his deficiencies are sort of exaggerated at times I think. Again, we'd better get something worthwhile in return.

Cole hasn't impressed so far this season. But I'm also not yet 100% convinced that Ish isn't fools gold. We'll see.

I don't think its a criticism of Tyreke to say I don't want him on this specific team. Example- I wouldn't have wanted Asante Samuel in his prime if I were a team that strictly played man-to-man. Samuel was one of the best zone corners of his generation. Not a man to man guy.

This system requires a primary ball handler who sees 2-3 steps ahead, who moves the ball, who moves a lot off the ball, etc. Go watch Steph tonight. Watch how much he gives it up and then runs around to get it back. Tyreke can't and won't do that. Its purely a fit thing. No critique against the man.

Jrue fits, though.

I've seen some people in this thread and others hypothesize that we are "showcasing" Cole to the rest of the league. The problem is, he is playing so poorly that his minimal trade value is now basically zero. I think his trade value would be significantly higher right now if he was still sitting on the bench with a high ankle sprain and the last tape GM's had of him playing was during our late season run last year.

Teams have much more tape on him than a few rough games coming off a six week layoff
