Clippers tried to get Ryno but he's "not available"

The Los Angeles Clippers have inquired about trading for Ryan Anderson but the New Orleans Pelicans aren't making Anderson available, according to sources close to the process.
Sources told ESPN.com that the Pelicans, after agreeing to a deal in principle to trade for Houston Rockets center Omer Asik, want to bring Asik in to form a three-man frontcourt rotation in New Orleans with Anderson and face of the franchise Anthony Davis.
Anderson, 26, averaged 19.8 points and 6.5 rebounds for the Pelicans in a season blighted by injury. Clippers coach and president Doc Rivers is said to see Anderson as an ideal fit with his 3-point shooting ability; Anderson made 41 percent of his shots from beyond the arc in 2013-14.
But the Pelicans have shown no inclination to move Anderson even after striking a deal for Asik, who will be absorbed into cap space by the Pelicans next month in exchange for a protected first-round pick in 2015.
Another interesting dynamic between these teams is that there is some sentiment within the Clippers' organization to pursue Doc Rivers' son Austin. In his second NBA season, Austin Rivers averaged 7.7 points for the Pelicans in 2013-14.
Rivers, however, told ESPN last season that he would not be comfortable coaching his son.

I've heard Ryan Anderson as a possible GSW stretch 4 target... and New Orleans is obviously very active... but he's due $8.5M/$8.5M.
Do they have anything we want?

Barnes maybe?
ETA: Barnes and Udoh?
ETA2: Barnes and Speights maybe?

Klay Thompson, who they aren't giving up.
In theory we could get Mo Speights and Harrison Barnes, but we don't need Speights and I don't see Barnes helping us enough at the 3 to be worth Anderson.

Barnes blows so much arse it's unbelievable.

The Warriors don't have anything we'd want in exchange for Ryno. I think with AD and Asik you want a good stretch 4 as the 3rd big. The only thing you'd probably trade him for is a good SF, but Iggy next to Tyreke with Asik at center would probably be as bad as Tyreke + Aminu + Stiemsma.

Yeah, not a fan either.

Not disagreeing, just trying to figure out who or what the Pels would want from them

So who thinks we make a move to get into the first round tonight?!

Can we trade Anderson and Gordon to move back into the Eastern Conference
Posted on 6/26/14 at 3:45 pm to iAmThatMan
I wonder if this means they have an EG taker lined up or figured out a way to absorb Asik and keep the mle

I'm happy to see this. It almost certainly means we're stuck with EG this year. I guess that's better than losing a guy who can become one of your most important pieces.

Not sure but something has to be done.

If that happens and the Heat lose LeBron to a Western Conference team, we probably make the ECF this season.

I wouldn't mind getting Draymond Green from them
