A lot of people on here don't comprehend to well. You say things in an explanation way and they take it the wrong way. Of course I know everything revolves around Davis.

In Jrue's defense, he is getting more proficient with his shot. I don't hate the deal, but I wonder if it gets us stuck at that 5-8 playoff slot for the next few years.

most basketball people seem to be applauding the move

Noel, Burke, McLemore would probably all be better long term pieces IMO.

this is the weakest draft in a long, long time and we came away with a young, all star PG. I'm pretty happy.

I think you need more than one good player

Right, and now they have a 23 year old all star instead of a guy with huge red flags. I never said you didn't need more than one player. The point is that the development of Davis is as important to the team whether they have Holiday or Noel. It's irrelevant to this discussion.

If you would read the whole damn thread. I said my beef is with Demps sending a number 1 to Philly. Not Getting Holiday.

You think Holiday is a chucker? Lol, like I said, you know nothing about basketball.

Why the frick does that matter? Wiggins is the only big deal so far in that draft and if we have any chance at him then we keep the pick. fricking beautiful. We could have the best prospect since Lebron and an All Star PG for Nerlens Noel and you fricks don't like it. Astounding.

Yeah that's what I'm saying.

There's no question Jrue makes us better right now. But I don't think it benefits us for the next 5-10 years, whereas having a guy this year AND a higher pick next year really could have.

And that's what I stated in my comment. The 2014 hasn't played. We don't know where we would pick and we don't know how good that player will be. Not to mention VERY few players drafted even touch Jrue's status in the league...

I guess a pick like Shabazz who was in the same area as next years pick would just be a waste. Assholes.

So you would rather stay stagnant and hope draft picks work out. Everyone can't get as lucky as the Thunder. Rarely teams are able to build championship teams through draft picks. And 7 years down the road when we are barely winning and AD wants to go to a contender?

Have to make a statement you are ready to compete and compete soon...

Like I said earlier we lost a Mitch McGary or Willie Cauley-Stein type pick. Big frickin' deal.

It kind of would. Shabazz fricking blows and will never be an All Star and we got a 23 year old All Star instead.

People are overrating the frick out of the value of next year's draft.

Exactly. I'd almost guarantee Nerlens Noel and whoever we would get outside of the top 5 next year won't ever touch Jrue Holiday numbers.
