I still can't believe demps resigned him purely out of pride so it didn't look like we got nothing out of the Paul trade

We could have grabbed at least 1 1st rounder from a S&T. Maybe two.

Cus when he plays good, we are a scary playoff team... its beyond stupid to not cheer for him. Guy hasn't produced like u want, but if he turns it around, so will the Pelicans

Jester your hatred of Reek is almost worse than my hatred of Gordon

At least I hate Gordon and he's a totally useless piece of shite player. Reek is actually pretty good and you hate him.

I don't hate Tyreke. I see him for what he is: high usage, inefficient guard who will make a top 10 play followed by 2 not top 10 plays because he suddenly thinks he's Jordan.

My biggest issue with Tyreke is that adding him kept us from filling a glaring hole in the roster.

This the perfect scouting report on Tyreke. I love his passion and energy but he is someone who should come off the bench. However, he is pressed into service as a starter because of our current roster.

While I agree with you on those points, I think if he can mature and play level headed he really could be something special with Davis.

I've seen Davis get on Reke's arse multiple times for boneheaded plays. If this continues, maybe Reke can change his ways.

Reek has bad games when his shot doesn't fall, but when it does fall he's basically unguardable, and he plays good D (sometimes)

If he was playing SG and Gordon was traded for a solid SF I feel like no one would have any problem with Reek. If we had a SF that flourished without needing the ball this team would be something else.

If only...

If we got a solid SF(like the middleton/dudley deal that's been discussed):

I'd to see more of a lineup with Jrue at the 2 and Tyreke at the 1. Tyreke would do very well at charging the lane like he likes and jrue can get outside looks while playing D on the outside.

The SF would be another outside threat.

I feel like we almost do that anyway on a lot of offensive sets

Reek at "PG"
Jrue off the ball
Gordon standing somewhere being useless

Yep

Having an SF that has a good outside shot would make it shine though even more.

I hate the Tyreke signing, but:

having Eric Gordon on the roster keeps us from filling a glaring hole. At least Tyreke is useful.

1) he plays for the Pelicans
2) he has a pulse for the majority of the time
3) he may have some value of he can get it together
4) we have to keep him because that was part of the deal with Stern when we got AD

Gordon was already here and not going anywhere when we used the little flexibility we had to sign Tyreke, leaving us unable to sign a 3.

And he makes more money. Evans isn't having the greatest year, but Gordon's year makes Evans look like Steph fricking Curry.

EG is having the worst year imaginable for him. And he makes 30 million over the next two years. There's really no reason to argue over it.

Small sample size. Tyreke aint shooting 45% from 3 for the year and Gordon aint shooting 19%

He is not playing "very well"

AT BEST he has been average, and that's being damn generous

Defensively he's been very good but he's been fairly bad on offense. If his shots start falling(slowly but surely they are) he'll be fine.

You are being very generous. He has been flat out terrible and I don't really see how anyone can argue otherwise
