The Bulls are about to make a deal for Marco Belinelli — the shooting guard with a sweet three-point stroke who played for the Hornets last year — something has been rumored for a while and is now close, reports K.C. Johnson at the Chicago Tribune.

Chicago is known for their brick laying.

I like Beli but CHI fans will be severely disappointed in that sweet three-point stroke.

I'm not saying I want him back, but Belinelli is actually a good 3 point shooter. He shot 41% being set up by CP3 and 38% last season. He's just anti-clutch and misses way too many wide open shots. If he could figure out how to hit all the open ones he misses he'd probably shoot over 45% and be considered one of the best in the league.

He was worth his contract.

Picture from a poster on here a while back but I don't remember who.
As good of a shooter as he was, I will always remember the bricks he put up for some reason. Maybe the worst pump faker in the NBA in my awesome, if not fact-based, opinion. If I could clearly see him pump faking a mid range jumper during the Lakers game last year from row 9 of section 316, then what do you think Kobe saw defending him from just a couple feet away? As soon as I would tell people how much I thought he sucked, he would go off and lead all scorers in a game with 25+ and make me look like an idiot. He was my favorite player to hate

I enjoyed watching Belli play in his time here and I think with the right lineup and playing time he could be successful. He was mildly better with CP here so maybe he with thrive with D Rose.

James Posey used to do this to me (not for 25, but like 4 shots in a row, draw 2 charges, come away with a steal). Would drive me crazy and make me look like an idiot. I hated Posey more than I've hated any New Orleans professional player ever.

That's one HUGE "if".

Marco Belinelli shot 77.4% from 3pt range in games that we desperately wanted to lose.

Oh man, are Bulls fans in for it. Was just browsing their board and some of them think Beli will be good for coming in and scoring 15-20 off the bench.

He is a good player to come off the bench. He will fit in nicely with the Bulls.

Source confirms Marco Bellinelli's deal with the Bulls is done. Also: Bulls attempting to sign summer-leaguer Malcolm Thomas to 1-year deal.

I guess it's officially time for the Hornets to start working on Anderson Heads.
