I'm fully prepared for no movement and a davion mitchell pick at 10. Not sure how I feel about it.

If Davion Mitchell is there at 10 (which I doubt he would be) then I would take him and start him at PG day 1. He’s an absolute beast!

Wouldn't even have to think about Mitchell. Fixes a lot of issues with the team from day one. Players will feed off his defensive intensity

You better think about it. He’s tiny and old as shite.

And he doesn't get to the free-throw line.

I dont think it'd be a bad pick necessarily, but it's not getting anyone excited about our ceiling.

Hopefully Golden State takes him at 7 instead of Moody. There have been some rumblings.

I think Davion might be a fine player. I’d prefer him over some of the other options. The thing that is most concerning to me is his fit with Kira. It’s hard to play 2 tiny guards together in today’s nba when a lot of teams have big guards and wings.

Or if you play against a team like Phoenix and they abuse switches over and over again. 15 seconds of their offense is them hunting a mismatch and the last 9 seconds they abuse the shite out of it.

Do you think Kira can be a starting PG in the league for a good team? Obviously he’s still very young, but I don’t see it.
Everyone saw NAW and Jaxs potential from day 1 in the summer league. Maybe we’ll see that from Kira this year after he’s had time to adjust to the NBA game and work on some stuff.

This FO would be insane to draft based around finding a fit for Kira. He’s just straight up not proved to be worth that commitment yet.

I believe in him to at least be a desirable rotation player in this league, potentially a lot more, but if i grade out a smaller guard as the the BPA at my draft positions(don’t know if that is the case, just hypothetically) I’m not not taking him because of Kira, that would be silly imo.

Kira didn't have an opportunity to play in a summer league or even have a normal rookie season. You really need to calm down on the Kira projections. The team wouldn't have drafted him if they didn't think he was a starting caliber player in this league.

Well I was just framing it from the standpoint of Kira being on our roster now. I’m okay with moving Kira. I’m not really okay with having 2 small guards in the main rotation, so if they draft Davion, I’d want them to move on from Kira. We tried goofy cute lineups all last year. I don’t want them to have the personnel to allow them to waste another year experimenting with formulas that don’t work.

The only 2 small guard lineup that has ever really worked in recent memory is Dame and CJ (and even they have an obvious ceiling as a pair) and Kira and Davion aren’t near their level.

In general, I’d like to add guys with positional versatility on our team, not add to the number of guys that are basically pigeonholed into 1 position.

Considering that he's 3 years older and has a filled out frame, you would expect that from a senior prospect.

Vrenz Bleijenbergh is working out for the Pels on the 17th.

He seems to be one of the hotter names right now and could rise up the draft boards quite a lot.

and he's just a year younger than BI, who's going to be going into his 6th year in the league

He's older than NAW who came out as a sophomore and is going into his 3rd year.

That doesn't mean he won't be successful. But old and smaller than expected isn't the best combo.

So you expect Kira to just put on 30lbs of muscle in the next 2-3 years?

Mitchell was already 190lbs when he was 19, which is pretty muscular for someone 6 feet tall. Kira's top end is likely 185, and he's got work to get there.
They claimed before the draft that he weighed 180, then they do the official measurements to start the season and he's 170.
170lbs is small for him. Even 185lbs is on the small end. Curry weighs 185. Lillard weighs 195lbs. Fox is 185lbs. SGA is 180lbs. Sexton is 190lbs, and weighed in at 183lbs as an 18 year old.

No one said Kira was going to put on the same weight as Mitchell but he's nowhere near his peak weight nor strength. How much he'll grow into his body remains to be seen, but a 20 year old is nowhere near a finished product.
