Knew the other side of the story would come out. Honestly, I'd have been very happy with that deal and it's a shame Cousins bawked at it. 20M the first year to basically rehad any maybe play half a season sparingly? With one more year in case he does bounce back but only one more year in case he falls off a cliff.

This was before the season ended. New Orleans pulled the offer when he declined it. Who is to say he wouldnt have taken it now.

Sure I was pissed that Boogie went to the Warriors, but eventually I wouldve admitted that it was a good/shrewd move by a guy that didn't want to fall prey to the system.

Either way, we got saved. His market value was 5-10 million and we were about to pay 40mil for at most a year and a half.
