So fans usually are also in favor of rules that limit player movement.
Sure. I do think
1) those interests are aligned, but for different reasons, which may not matter at all.
2) it would behoove fans to try to understand why players want out of certain situations. Sometimes players want out because they just do, which sucks. Sometimes ownership is shitty, which causes players to want out, which still sucks but not in the same way.
3) Fan interests are incredibly narrow in scope and change with the wind. How many Pels fans are hoping/advocating for Beal to ask out of a shitty situation? Or how many were hoping Davis/Cousins/Paul would recruit guys to play in NO?

It’s one thing to recruit FAs.
The issue for me is a player on a +/- $35mm contract sabotaging the interests of his billion dollar employer and millions of fans while under contract.
It’s beyond unprofessional.

If the Rose Rule weren’t an issue, I think Ainge rolls the dice because he gets 1.5 seasons of AD instead of 1 season.
It’s enough to help Kyrie and Horford possibly decide to stick around.

I don't see a lot of threads calling out Kawhi and PG this morning.
So is it demanding a trade, letting it get ugly, or simply demanding a trade from "my" team that bothers people?
I don't really care one way or the other. But Pels fans look like fools ranting about how unfair Davis/Klutch/LeBron are while then applauding Kawhi and PG forcing their way to the Clippers

Fans don’t want to see one dominant team created by some “team up” situation. Clippers situation is different because it creates an equal to other teams.
