That was maybe the best final play we’ve run since Willie Green has been coach. Executed to perfection by the two guys you want touching the ball. Their chemistry is starting to get scary.

The actions run with Zion and BI are definitely cheat codes. I thought calling that timeout at the end was a smart move too. Not a great shooting game but definitely another win to build upon.

The “can’t win with BI crowd” has been pretty quiet lately, which is always great.

I was down on him earlier but he started playing team ball after the players meeting. Amazing turnaround on both ends of the court.

This shite bothers me greatly. He’s facilitated for this team from game 1, despite the fact that he has often been playing with rookies and non-rotation players due to injuries. His effort has improved on the defensive end a bunch, and now that we’re getting healthy and there are more weapons around him he’s playing smarter and better.

Yeah it put the ball in the hands of the team's 2 top guys and tells the defense to make a decision in a fraction of a second

Really good play in the spot it was used

He's been masterful the last 5 games. He's been our steady rock in the second halves during this stretch.

If you can't see the difference in his play in terms of playing within the flow of the offense from the beginning of the season to the last 5 games or so, that's rough. It's like night and day.

I’m not saying he’s not playing both better and smarter. I take exception with the statement that he wasn’t playing team ball. That’s about the worst thing you can say about a player. It’s hard not to feel the need to force shots when CJ, Trey, Herb (at times), Naji, Jose and Zion (at times) aren’t out there.

It's not that. It's the folks acting like we couldn't make Zion and Ingram, two pretty good to great distributors, playmake with each other. Adjustments needed to be made. Zion and Ingram both realized they can playmake without taking 10 dribbles.

For all the faults we had early in the season, I tried telling folks and posted the net rating numbers.

The Pels have always been basically elite at basketball when both are on the court for their careers. The 2 together have never been a consistent problem.

In an 82 game season you need to win games like this. Shots don’t always fall, but defense can be present every time you want to work hard.

He literally wasn’t. A beat writer even posted a graphic about it showing how everyone on the team threw far more passes than they received except for Ingram who received like 70 passes and threw around 40 of them.

AD also commented multiple times early in the year about BI and dribbling the blood out of the ball and how he’s making it harder for himself and the team.

That’s not team ball.

BI is not really a selfish player. His game is still evolving.

BI and Zion have been playing a lot better together. Hopefully they gain some trust with each other and build upon that. BI had a nice clutch couple buckets. Let’s see if he can continue that with higher stakes.

When we needed buckets late, BI was super aggressive going to the rim.

Imo this is more important than him taking 3s, him getting back to attacking the rim more like he used to.

Again, when you are playing with half your rotation players (or more) out, a player like BI will feel the need to take more shots. I wouldn’t think that’s hard to understand. Maybe it is. He also has more assists than any player on the team.

After CJ told them they need to practice at playing together and they actually started spending time after practice playing together. Shamit pointed out that the game winning play where BI got to the bucket off of a Zion screen is one of those plays they've been working on after practice.

I know that many Pels fans feel that they've been short changed the last 4 years and have a "show me the wins or GTFO" mindset, but 1) injuries aren't an excuse, they're an issue, and 2) it's going to take time to see if/how all of these pieces fit. I wouldn't be surprised if CJ/Trey returning causes the Pels to lose a game or 2 because Willie will make the wrong choice in a game in picking offense over defense.

This is a learning process for everyone. But for the first time the 2 stars seem to be putting in as much effort as everyone else. So it finally has a chance of working out.
