Brandon Ingram: "I love New Orleans. It’s perfect for me and the way I want to operate. Less distractions. I can go play basketball whenever I want to. I’ve got direct access to the facility... I feel connected with New Orleans and the people around me."

Would you rather players that don't mention their love for the city? Just another negative shite post by Mark bc he hates everything.

I don't really care if he likes it or not. I have never seen any data to support that professional athletes need a great work environment to be successful or love their teams city. I'd prefer a more business minded approach.
I doubt he lives in the city in the offseason. Why should he? He probably has multiple homes and can live in various exotic locations when he's free. So why does he have to pay it lip service? It just seems insincere.
Davis used to say the same stuff. I've never bought it from any of them..

Where do you work where people don’t care about their work environment? Obviously work environment matters a lot to everybody.

Happy to rain on your parade, but he has spent more time here this off-season than you’d think. Zion also.

i doubt that. you got some proof of that?
I mean i wouldn't train in New Orleans if i could go anywhere else in the world to train in the offseason.

and just some BI talk, figured i'd put it here:
quote:
There was a lot of noise surrounding the team this summer about potentially moving up in the draft a few months ago. Some rumors were floating around that included your name and Zion’s name. When stuff like that starts popping up, does the front office make a point of reaching out to you to let you know what’s going on? Brandon Ingram: With me, I’m not on social media that much. So people will make a joke about it sometimes, or hit me up and ask me what’s going on with this thing they saw on TV. Most of the time, I’ll hear from the front office when that stuff pops up and they’ll tell me exactly what’s going on and how to feel about it. Any information that’s out there, they’ll clarify it and tell me if it was true or false. I’ve got a good relationship with (Pelicans executive vice president of basketball operations David Griffin). He’ll come straight to me and tell me anything. I’m not too into what everybody was putting out there, but none of it bothered me. I also know this is a business, though, and I’ve got to be prepared for anything.

I don't work less than 8 months a year, earn over 30M, and play a game. If I did, I wouldn't really care where it was located or if it was a positive culture..

You wouldn't be an elite performer without a great working environment. It just doesn't happen. I don't care what profession it is.

So are there bad work environments in the NBA?
Would you say ours is one of the best?

It's at minimum good, but I'm not in the building every day.
Do you think the team has good chemistry because of the environment that Willie and Griff created?

Absolutely, and we were one of them during the svg season.

I swear when I think I’ve read your dumbest take ever, you somehow seem to top it. It’s actually quite impressive how bad damn near every one of your takes are.

I'm sure it helps with Green being a former player. But I think we have some good guys that legit like each other. Makes the team chemistry better.
I'm not giving Griffin any credit. Zion does not like him. Fumbling that relationship could end his career.

What are the bad ones?
I only ask, cause as some as you name them, I bet it'd be easy to find quotes of players saying how much they love it so much.

It would have died on the vine without me. The boards been dead for a week. People don't respond to player adoration and worship. Especially for inane off the cuff comments. Your welcome..
