If they tried to purchase the Voodoo rights that means one thing to me......they got nothing better, which blows!

I hope Benson can change their mind. The Pelicans sounds like a 5 year old little league T-ball team.
I like the New Orleans Voodoo name an their logo colors. All of the other names i've seen thrown put there really suck bad.

I hope we keep the Hornets. We have no reason to change. The Pelicans sound extremely gay. I wouldn't buy any merch with that name on it.

I played in a military base league in Colorado a while back. They had a team call the "Bleedats." I asked the opposing team what the hell it meant and they replied condescendingly, "We are the Believe Thats. You best baaleeedat." I was floored. Regardless, our name should be the Brass. Closest thing relating to Jazz.

I bet people thought names like: Thunder, Nuggets, and Heat sounded gay when they first heard them. The truth is, it doesn't matter what our new name is. People will bitch about it for a year or so and then people will get over it and get used to it (especially if we start winning).

42 seeing as you and Schwan are still play with Star Wars action figures and watch Twilight movies, wouldn't you both love the "Voodoo" nickname? Maybe we'd get that pale dude to come sing at halftime a'la William Hung.

I'm not sure what has to do with the data or analysis in the post, but I'm fine with the team staying Hornets. I'm bringing data out that I don't think anyone here had, adding in other relevant information, and a little analysis of what makes it good, bad, plausible. I think if you actually read the post, you'd find it enlightening.
I can consider not doing this if you wish . . . I have a nice post I'm working on for next week or so I can just trash, if you wish.
As far as Star Wars goes, I have one action figure (Emperor) in the packaging, unopened, that was a gift. I've never read or seen twilight.
I am a Voodoo STH, and was before and after Katrina.
I don't know which pale dude you are talking about.
And not sure what any of that has to do with Voodoo, just like I'm not sure what my preferences have to do with the news.

I know it would absolutely NEVER happen...but I wish New Orleans would get the Jazz back. They have already had great teams in Utah though and will never get it back. It would just be really cool to see it back in Nola. I know this post was somewhat pointless, so I'll give my favorite 3 possible names:
