More disturbing is the total lack of any rhythm with Gordon and Vasquez on the bench. Also, Manu had his way with Rivers.

No one is expecting him to be a star this year, brah. We were lucky to have two top ten picks this year. We had the luxury of picking a 2 to 3 year project. He's going to be fine.

Fair comparison.

you realize that you are now comparing him to Kobe?
therefore raising expectations on him(in thread)?

this should be bookmarked.

No one's saying he'll be the next Kobe, but the amount of flak this kid is catching 1/4 of the way through his first NBA season is hilarious. Not every rookie is going to immediately impact the game like Davis. It takes time, especially for players who leave college early.

Pretty sure we drafted him knowing he wasn't going to be an instant impact rookie.

Look at a player like Louis Williams. He averaged 1.9 his rookie season and is now over 15 a game. Sometimes it takes time.

Maybe some time in the D-League would do him good. At least have him spend every waking moment in the gym working on free throws, the one improvement that could make him a useful player.

I think so too. But I would rather have Monty coaching him.

I'm still astonished that an NBA coach's son can have such horrid form.

I've lowered my expectations for him so I don't get as angry at him being terrible anymore.

I used to think he was going to be an impact player down the road, so him sucking every night would piss me off.

I now realize he's a career bench player with very limited offensive skills, so him going 1/7 every night doesn't bother me as much.

He gets the the rack, and shoots at a decent clip from 3. Is it too much to ask the wise ones of HT to wait a year or two before we cast him into the recycle bin? Lord, we gave JuJu a MUCH longer leash than Rivers.
