BI just needs to go back to taking 6/7 threes a game.

Murray will be a primary ball handler and BI can settle back into less ball handling duties.

Easily can happen.

He averaged about 6 a year for two straight years before he had to handle the rock and iso score for us the last few.

D Murray is a legit PG 1

These discussions will be over when hes traded- which is highly likely considering our center situation and the cap. No more wishing and hoping for BI/Zion to work.

No, at the end of the season, BI said that "it would be helpful" for us to get a true PG.

He knows that this was needed.

I'm happy he can admit he needs help getting his shot at times.

Murray is going to start. Herb is going to start. Trey will command less money and play his role compared to BI. So BI is going to get traded.

Herb and Murphy are not going to come off the bench.

I’ve said this before the guy had Jrue Holiday and Lonzo Ball. These are all just excuses.

And the cherry on top is that Naji is still on the roster.

Not going to argue BI going or staying, but if he is here, this is definitely something that has been needing to happen.

With Zion and BI often injured and not playing much together, and no lead pg, BI has handled the ball far too often, and where he feels comfortable handling it in that high post with his back to the basket, it creates a situation where his shot profile is going to be largely mid range jumpers (which he is very good at).

With a lead point handling the ball more, BI can sit on the perimeter more, and when Zion isn't in he can post up more instead of taking the ball from the high post, leading to both more 3s and closer jumpers.

Anyone that has watched this team these last few years will have seen BI grab the ball at the top of the arc, dribble straight in and start backing down from the high post nearly every single time. He isn't a hard slasher, and there hasn't been someone else that did this consistently either to draw in and kick out aside from Zion, and Zion takes the shot more often than distributes on those (and still needs work on kicking out).

I still think this team will be best with a largely staggered Zion and BI (though certain lineups together they can work well). I can see a lineup of DJ, BI, CJ, Hawk/Murphy/Alvarado/etc., and whoever the center is doing very well with DJ driving and dishing. And with a small ball lineup with Zion at center, you kick it in to him on a post up, have DJ slash in, and then Zion pass it to him and DJ can create from there, which can work with or without Ingram.

That's it for my random rambling, but I think anyone who is automatically writing off BI isn't seeing the possibility of what can be, or has been so disillusioned by the past they refuse to acknowledge it's possible.
