Are people sleeping on a potential Chicago offer?

Considering that AD is from Chicago.

They certainly have the pieces:

Lavine
Markannen
Wendell Carter
Probable top 4 pick

Would villain AD refuse to play for his hometown team?

Windhorst said he doesn't want to go there.

AD would be by himself in Chicago

Kyrie and/or Durant would have no interest

Yeah I did consider that and he did say it not long after Ad's demand, when Windhorst could've just been trying to guide it to the Lakers.

And while Windhorst is a Lebron shill he's the only national guy I've seen say the Lakers shouldn't be able to shutdown Lebron because the NBA is forcing the Pels to play Davis.

AD doesn’t want to live in a Chicago. But even then that offer ain’t THAT great. It’s about on par with the Lakers deal tbh

That 4 blows away the Lakers offer. Whether Lavine is a "winning" player is a question mark but the same for Ingram. Markinnen over Kuzma and Carter way over Lonzo, who we'd have to move anyway.

That deal is much better than Lakers. Or maybe I'm still mad..but Lavine, Lauri, Wendell is at least close to Ingram Kuz and Ball, throw in a top 4 pick and I'd take it over the Lakers deal.

They might have a better package than the Lakers, but if it's possible to dump AD and Solo for Tatum, Horford, and picks, you go that route

AD is boys with Lavine. Lavine would stay.

The pick def helps. Idk about Wendell carter. He’s not even the third best center in his draft class

Makes zero sense to leave a team with Jrue to one with Lavine

I was thinking the same thing. An offer of lavine, markannan, and a first sounds good to me.

Only way I can see this happening is if the Bulls move up to #1 or 2, then the deal is:

Carter, the pick, Otto Porter, Bulls 2021 and 2023 picks, and Dunn for AD and Solo

The Bulls have a trio of Lavine, Lauri, and AD to convince AD to stay. The Pels get an elite prospect at #1 or 2, a good one in Carter, a help now guy in Porter and a wild card in Dunn. Plus, picks that could be good if AD bolts.

I don't think the problem is the city, I think it is widely known around the league that Bulls management is a joke and that's why AD wouldn't want to stay there. And anywhere he clearly doesn't want to stay isn't offering their best package

That offer is way better than the Lakers offer, I’m not sure the Bulls would offer that though.
