Currently 18P/16R/2B/2S a game and shooting 42% from the 3.

Now obviously I dont watch a ton of Pistons games but what do you think of a fit here on the Pels?

He's a UDFA in 2021

I’d rather Favors and Jaxson for less money and no more assets given up.

He's Cap number is 25m. Who could we even send out that equates to that?

The fact hes a UDFA in 2 years gives an out/nice expiring.

He has a 29 million dollar option next year that he will turn down because he wants more..

Depending on what Favors gets if we bring him back, we are already looking at around 140 million in salary next year with BI's max deal. Drummond would have us about 20 million into the luxury tax

How much you think Favors will want next year? Considering he knows his value to this team.

I'm guessing he ends up between 15-20 mil, maybe even higher than that (23-24)

Just looked at salaries again, added up our commitments (minus Miller since its non guaranteed), adding in BI max, 20 mil for Favors, and 6 mil for Moore (I'm assuming he gets around the MLE), we would be at about 133 million in salaries...

If I'm not mistaken Drummond's new max would put him around 35 million cap hit, so we would be around 148 in salaries. The LT line should be right at 140 from early estimates, and I know RIGHT now the team will try to stay out of the tax

I don't think the potential stumbling block with Favors will be salary but years. They'll probably be willing to overpay him on a 2 year deal, but if someone offers him a 3-4 year deal, even at a reasonable price, we'd probably go a different direction.

If we're trading for any big, it better be KAT. Otherwise, I'm good with what we got.

Really wanted to pair Drummond when we drafted AD. Had to be picked right before us. Would have been something to see defensively with them two down low.

But yea, he’s not worth what he will get paid

There is no way that is true.
That would already make him the highest paid center in the league. He’s not a game changer or number 1 scoring option so no one will pay him close to that. Maybe he wants to sign a long term deal but he wont be holding out for more than 29 next year.

28.7 player option

He's turning it down because he wants a max..

His max deal if I'm not mistaken is around 35 a year

maybe so
depends on if favors and zion can play together and/or if the defense continues to crater with favors off and zion on. If in the last 40 games though the defense holds in either case, I think you have to work a 3+1 or similar at high dollars for favors and see what you have.

He's averaging 17/15, so I see why he thinks he's max worthy, but I can't think of a team where you want Drummond as your #1 or #2 player which is technically what a Max should be about.

honestly I think Drummond would be a home run for ATL but they should wait and just sign him over the summer. With all their young players he’s gonna be their highest salary but that doesn’t mean he’s the alpha. That will always be trae

the alternate universe hawks are fascinating to me.
what if they’d stayed put both of the past two years?

2018 take doncic
2019 take whoever they liked at 8/13. Clarke was there, Hayes was there, literally any player other than hunter.
2020 sign Drummond as a FA (or trade parsons/BKN pick)

they’d have the best PNR guard in the league, and a future MVP. They’d have a PNR beast at the 5. They already had a star PF in Collins. They could easily add shooters. They’d still be in the East

I bet you they’d take a do-over right now
