From his twitter. It’s amico, one of the least reliable guys in NBA reporting so grain of salt.

The Beal interest is obvious.

Would rather use the capital it would take to get Beal to move up and get Ja.

We can have interest.

Problem is that there isn’t even a decision maker in DC yet, so no one has the authority to deal even if they wanted to.

I struggle with whether we should just stay where we are and take a shot on Garland. I seem him as a boom or bust type though.

If we were just giving up 4 for Beal, it would be a no-brainer, but the cost is likely to be very significant.

It has been sincere since before Griff took over though.
Problem is that they don't have sincere interest in doing anything.

With no head guy in WAS with a certain vision in place, I feel we would need to seriously overpay for them to make the move.

Not worth it, IMO.

I’ll start a thread on Zion’s favorite color instead.

I know this sounds obvious because we all follow this stuff and already know, but this is significant for the sheer fact that ANOTHER person has said we are trying to get Beal. There’s just so much smoke now.

But what are you willing to give up to acquire the lunch?

There was enough smoke already from the past ~2 weeks

I don't think we'll have a true grasp of griffins plan until Thursday night. It could literally go any direction.

If they strike out on Ujiri, Sheppard could get promoted to GM. Keeping a dialogue with him couldn't hurt.

You could ask this in so many threads. Some guys start 4-5 a day when it could easily go in one of the other active threads.

They will probably just stay put and keep the pick. It seems any grade for a vet we try to make will have to be an overpay. Maybe Thursday night some team gets antsy and offers us a good package for 4 like Atlanta but I think right now we just take the pick. De’Andre Hunter or Darius Garland to me are the two obvious choices. To get Beal we would have to include Ingram or Zo plus the 4th at least. That’s steep.

They talked about the Pelicans acquiring Beal for a minute or two on Get Up this morning.

I still think the only way we get Beal is a Lonzo/Solo/Moore/#4 for Beal/D. Howard/#9 type of deal.

I’m also not sure what you do with a Lonzo, Beal & Jrue trio. I hate to say, Jrue seems like the odd man out there as I’m not sure how Jrue would be at PG with Beal.
