Would you have preferred Kidd or Mosley?

you're telling me a 4x fired head coach just made the nba finals?

mosley is the better hire for our situation.

Cotton Fitzsimmons still alive?

Don’t forget the part about that same team making the Eastern Conference Final last year, and the team that beat them last year in the Eastern Conference Finals punted on the season with Haliburton out. You know, since you’re just saying stuff. Comparing the Knicks situation to the Pelicans situation is ridiculous for so many reasons.

Brown has plenty of chips as an asst coach he stint as HC were not good but this Knicks team is different from his other team as HC, more vets and leaders

The Knicks arguably have 7 players better than our best player and play in the East.

Thanks for proving my point

Proving your point? Your point is that a really good team, that got to play in a much less competitive conference achieved what they should have (the freaking offensively challenged Detroit Pistons were the #1 seed; the Celtics were without Tatum for most of the year and the game that eliminated them; and as noted earlier, the defending champ Pacers didn’t even try to be competitive this year)?? Amazing job that the preseason favorite to get to the finals (while only being the third seed in the weak East) actually did what they were supposed to do.

You're so close to figuring this out.
My point is that coaching does not matter nearly as much in this league as its players do. Thats why a guy like Mike Brown can make the finals, and people bitching about Mosley being a retread just dont have a fricking clue.

Except for the second Cleveland stint he's been successful. He wins 60% of his games and he had back to back winning seasons in Sacramento.

Generously conceding Mikal Bridges and Josh Hart, you think 2 of Jordan Clarkson, Mitchell Robinson, Miles McBride, Landry Shamet, etc… would be the best player on the Pelicans team?

Wow!! So players are more important than coaching? Who would have thought that? Just a brilliant take! We are so lucky you post here. Still doesn’t change the fact that small market teams teams like the Pels, who will never have much of a chance at the big names (you know the players you are writing about that make the difference), need something special at coach and not the same tired old retreads. We should have tried to strike gold with a first time coach. It was the better way to go in my opinion.

Took you a while to get there.

There are two small market teams playing in the west finals as we speak. Largely built through drafting. Your excuse doesnt work.

No, we need better players. fricking prime Phil Jackson ain't coaching this team to the west finals. The sooner you realize that and stop bitching about a coach that wins games getting hired the sooner you'll understand how the league works

Hey, are they coached by retreads or first time coaches. I’ll wait for your answer.

Again, just amazing insight. I would never have thought we needed better players. But since we clearly need better players, let’s happily settle for below average coaching as well. Should work out great.

How is him being a winning coach make him below average?

The last 10 nba championship coaches are exactly 50/50 in "retread" and first time coaches.
What's the one thing they all had in common?
