That was stupid. What was the message here? We eat crawfish, we got wet, we listen to music, and we're happy to get Zion. No shite.

I'm glad they did a piece to hype up the team and the pick, but I can't disagree that was a pretty poorly done bit.

If New Orleans weren't a major tourist attraction, it would be way too small of a market to have an NBA team. Of course, any piece promoting the city is going to focus on the stereotypical reasons that people want to visit.

Y'all think that they should've done a piece focused on our potholes and history of government corruption?

They should’ve interviewed some locals that hang out on neutral ground of Claiborne playing dominos, not the 5 year locals who gentrified the Irish Channel.

I didn't really like how half the piece was talking about how Zion is bringing hope to NOLA and how we'll become a basketball city.

And the other half had Saints highlights, shots of the dome and statues of saints players and a guy saying "who dat"

To be honest with y'all, we just completed the largest trade in modern NBA history and I've barely heard shite about it around town. Maybe I'm not running in the right circles. Outside of my friends and acquaintances who I know are long time fans, I haven't really seen much buzz in the streets.
