Would love if McCaw, Valentine, or Maker were there. Intrigued by internationals - Yabusele, Zipser, Qi and Papagiannis.

I thought I read Zimmerman had significant medical issues as well.

I don't like Ulis' size but I think he has a shot to be an Earl Boykins type player. Maybe not the same exact game but that type of impact at that size. Assuming he makes it to the 2nd.

More unrealistic but maybe one falls

Deandre Bembry
Malik Beasley

I like Yabusele and Zizic.

Don't think Bembry falls.

Here's Tjarks going hard for AJ Hammons, a projected mid 2nd rounder, on the Ringer today

LINK

Also some good, larger points about context and numbers from him, including a mildly warm take on Myles Turner v Okafor

quote:

The perfect example came in last year’s draft, when Jahlil Okafor went no. 3 to the Philadelphia 76ers and Myles Turner went no. 11 to the Indiana Pacers. Okafor was the centerpiece of an NCAA champion, while Turner was a bench player on an underachieving team. If they had switched roles, though, Okafor would have struggled just as much with Texas’s frontcourt logjam and inability to space the floor, while Turner would have thrived in Duke’s four-out offense, surrounded by NBA-caliber perimeter players. Just because Okafor posted much better efficiency statistics at the NCAA level didn’t mean he was actually the better prospect.

I was just about to say A.J. Hammons. I really like him for our 2nd rounder.

So Ben Bentil is not even in discussion for the second round? Not even from Crewz? He is my top ranked guy for the second round.

Ben Bentil
Denzel Valentine
Issah Whitehead
Patrick McCaw
Bryce Johnson

2. Robert Carter

This, this, and more this. We need to slow the roll on expectations for our 2nd picks. We have enough holes in our team that one second round pick needs to be a guy we think can be a contributing NBA player. Carter will be a solid NBA player. Maryland was such a shite show with all those personalities and a bad situation for him. Similar to Turner at Texas last year, I think if he switched teams, he'd be a 15-20 pick guy.

I think Bentil shouldve went back for another year. What is going to be his calling card in the NBA? He's gotta develop that 3P shot, become a better defender and rebounder or something to be useful

My top 5 for 2nd rounders:

1. Diamond Stone
2. Isaiah Cousins
3. Thon Maker
4. Ben Bentil
5. Taurean Prince

Stone, Prince and Maker are all late 1st/early 2nd. Would be thrilled if they fall to us. (or we move up to get one)
