Man, we really have $70M tied up in 2 ultra weird vibe dudes that will combine to play 30 games next season

In terms of shooting, OKC actually struggled a ton from 3 in the playoffs. If you are good enough at enough things, you can survive below average 3 point shooting.

If Z plays 65 games, we might win 38 games with this group. If he plays 30-35, we will likely be in the 25-30 area, which won't be good for our pick situation, but it will probably result in meaningful on ball/higher usage reps for Fears and Queen.

Why do you think GS dumped him on the Wiz?

I've learned that it is a fool's errand to try to predict the Pelicans' starting 5. Inevitably, someone will be injured. Sigh.

That said, I am a fool, so I predict:

Poole
Herb
Trey
Zion
Missi

If Dejounte returns this year, and IF everyone is healthy (hahahaha), you move Poole to the bench for instant offense.

We have absolutely no right to feel good or bad about Poole. No players of Pooles caliber or higher are signing with this team. Besides players getting extensions from our roster no one making +25mil wants to be here willingly.

You should be thankful we now have a potential CJ replacement that could get an extension and be a very good piece to the team the next few years instead of letting CJ walk and not getting shite.

What would you rather? Us overpay for some washed vet and pay Dinwiddie/ Dennis Shroeder 25mil a year while begging them?

You are acting like you expect Giannis/ Steph to request a trade here or was expecting Kyrie/ Harden to meet about a long term deal.....

We should be thankful we got Poole. Any players that have the potential to play high caliber for this team is a blessing. Wasted CP3, wasted AD, wasting Zion. You can't say "I don't feel good about Poole", we don't even deserve poole by technicality.

Dude is an ex NBA champion who played next to Steph Curry and Draymond from a competitiveness standpoint and now he has Jose and Zion? LOL, we can't say shite about him.

If everyone is healthy and we decide to start Murray then it will certainly be (1) of Missi/ Herb going to the bench. Zion, Poole, Trey are the only 3 that do have a guaranteed starting spot.

The whole point of everyone wanting Herb is that he can play starting minutes but play a 6th man role because he's on a cheap contract and is a guy you want to CLOSE games. Herb is a closer and does not have to open games, and that's tenfold with a healthy Murray in the mix.

I hate this narrative.

We did not "waste" AD. AD's team swept the Trailblazers. Aftet that, Lebron convinced him to demand a trade. We took a big swing for Boogie and if failed. But we still had a solid team built around AD. He bailed on us prematurely.

We certainly did not "waste" Zion. He wasted himself. It is disingenuous to blame Griff for coddling Zion. At the end of the day, Zion is to blame for Zion's failures.

The point I was making is more about the team. Those players all left and we had no other talents that wanted to be here or glued the team together inbetween. The exact point I'm making is we wasted years with those guys and then inevitably had Cousins, Jrue, Rondo, etcc move on.

We finally have a chance to retain talent even with that main star gone. That's a first for the franchise and we really shouldn't look down on any additions of quality talent, especially when our own stars have been so unserious.

Ok, I kinda get it.

I think Poole was an excellent acquisition. He is an excellent scorer.

We're rebuilding the Warriors, but without the talent.

What talent are we retaining, though? Jordan Poole?

Yeah Jordan Poole. And Murray, and Herb, and Trey, and Fears, and Queen.... All better assets than we have had from a future outlook perspective.

Would you rather have a 30mil gap in your roster and no other shooter besides Trey? Or would you rather have Poole? Its not a comparison of Poole vs ____. Its either you get Poole or you don't get shite.

So again, fans should be thankful.
