healthy Scoot that reaches his potential has top 20-10ish
is that all time too or
just in his era?
do you now peg morant ceiling top 10 in his era or better than that.
certainly zion ceiling is all time first team still.
pre-draft I thought morant could be Cousy. his shooting and scoring inside is way better than cousy now.
several guys have better assist numbers nowadays.
he's still improving.
his outside shot is at least ok now.

Guys his size with his frame really don’t make it in the NBA, see the most recent Unicorn example in Porzingas who hasn’t reached his potential due to to health,
porzingas had 43 last night, with 7 out of 10 from 3. he's ok now.

Porzingis is exactly the kind of big we could use on paper, but his injury history looks like he’s played for the Pels his whole career.

I could see GG Jackson being a fit in the area where we pick

I honestly don’t know how a team can ever defend a Wemby/Zion one-two punch?
By putting extra security near the Pels bench?

Can't speak to some of these guys because I haven't watched them, but here are my early takes on the ones I have watched-
Will need lottery luck, but he's great. The games I've watched the concerns about shooting inside the arc are nonexistent. Top 5 pick
Great defender, don't think the offense is great yet but kinda tough to tell between his injuries and Kentucky's "questionable" offensive system/spacing. Historically these guys get a bit of a pass- athletic, one and done 5 star guards who are reasonably productive don't last much past the lottery, if he does at all.
Microwave scorer with some real athleticism and instincts. We could really use a bucket getter on our 2nd unit...
Talented but just too redundant imo with some of our non-shooter long wings like Herb and Dyson.
Ehhhhhh doesn't seem like the type of player we'd draft. Gifted but might take a bit to transition to winning basketball player.
another former 5 star recruit. Good athlete, productive in college, already a decent shooter. Top 10 player
I like him, don't love him. Very good shooter with a quick release, would probably rather take a swing at one of the guards who can get his own shot more consistently. The shooting is enticing, though

We need to avoid drafting guys who make our roster more redundant. I think you have to go with someone who gives you skill sets that we lack. Dick and Hendricks as shooters, maybe Nick Smith for some extra playmaking. It really sucks there isn’t any great rim protectors outside of Vic, but maybe we take a chance on Lively if we are low enough.

several supposed top 10 are either already injured or can't shoot.
black can shoot.
i hope he drops to pels.
and if you determine that the duke center can defend PnR you take him with your whatever pick. so sports illustrated ranks him 16 but your pick is 10. pick your guy.

i stand corrected.
miller may be the only actual shooter in the top 10.

Nah, the kid at UCF is a dude. Paul George type. Can really shoot it. Taylor Hendricks. He is an actual real freshman, unlike Miller. Hendricks is 1 full year younger
Posted on 3/11/23 at 11:53 am to Lester Earl
Idk about Paul George but I do think Hendricks can be a great glue guy at least.

If Lively keeps playing well. He’ll jump up some boards. Could wind up late lottery.

Lively is growing on me and I think he will be this years Duren.
That solid big that goes under the radar(for as much as a #1 high school to NCAA prospect can) and we’ll look back in a few seasons and realize he’s a really nice piece to have.
Lively also sneakily has a jumper he could develop.

Or he can be Jaxson Hayes and never develops. Then we go back to bashing Griff and Langdon for the years to come.

Yea, That is a 31% where they are letting him shoot. Not like a 31% where the guy is shooting a bunch of contested 3’s. He isn’t a shooter at his point
