if 1 player gave the city of NOLA 1 championship....and thats all you got out of it... would it be worth it?
oh wait, that happened in football..
Still partying like its 2009....
Banners fly forever...frick all the shite inbetween....
Football is a much more volatile sport than the NBA, but if you told me that had NO delayed 1 year their chips in run in 2009, and the result would be a NE like program for the next 6-8 seasons, I would in fact take the risk.
Especially in the NBA when it is all about top end talent.
If I was told I could have this current version of the Lakers or roll the dice on trading in that chip for a controlled roster of:
Lonzo
BI
Lebron
AD
FA Center(McGee/Howard)
Bench: Hart, Caruso, KCP, Kuzma
I'd roll that dice every time cause in the NBA, that team puts you in the top 4 in the league every year with the high, high probability of winning at least 2 rings, potentially a half a decade-like dynasty.

You don’t find it hilarious lebron forced them to sign Westbrook and is now forcing them to rid him? What a joke he is. He thinks he’s so smart but he’s only good at one thing.

is He me? or is he lebron?
Westbrook btw, will do exactly what he has done for years on a team
35 min per game
18-23 PPG
44% FG
30% 3PM
7-10 RBPG
7-10 ASTPG
1-2 STPG
Play in 50+ Games...
HE IS NOT 2014 or 2016 RUSS.....
He is what his Avg is.... he can still be that and can still help a team. Even if he were to take a back seat and play a slightly reduced role from his AVGs, He needs to punch in as an Iggy style role and just defer to those around him for the betterment of the team.... I believe thats what he brings to ANY team this upcoming year..
Not hard to understand...
Stop clicking all of the "westbrick videos" or "my momma said videos"..
it's ok

quote:He can still possibly be a net positive who doesn't make your team worse when he's on the court isn't exactly a ringing endorsement for a $47 million player.

whoever takes him on will use him and dump him.
he likely does not play 1 min for the team that he is sent to.
You realize that right?

Interesting.... since everywhere he has been he has given them a Championship
He has also left each team worse off than when he arrived there. He goes to teams, forces them to trade all of their future assets for win now players, wins a championship, and then leaves them when their championship window has closed and they have no assets left to get better. He did it with Miami, he did it with Cleveland, and he'll likely do it with the Lakers.

None of that has to do with the value that he is?
None of that means that he elevates those guys around him?
Pretty easy to rattle all of that off but not going to waste more time on that

nah, believe the rumored teams gain some incentive if they take on the contract and dump it no?
Trade exemptions or something...
then leads to his buyout.
I really honestly don't care. I'm just enjoying all of this
But...
What if, he gets dealt...then signs vet min after the buyout and returns to Lakers.... that would really burn this board down to the ground huh?
(please and thank you on the thumb down

They want to run it back? They can run it back.
I’m fine with getting a swap for a likely top 5 pick.

It's ok to have a different opinion and post that opinion instead of just copy/pasting what you see on dads facebook/instagram/twitter..... wait or is majority on tik tok now with the tweeens?

I agree.
It would be nice to see them actually play it out with what they planned to do going into last season. Whether its truly shite or if it truly works....

I’m perfectly fine with them doing so because it WAS shite whenever all three were on the court.
If it works out for them, fine. But don’t pretend like they are the late 90s Bulls when all three of them are on the court. Their numbers sucked and their W-L record was sub-.500 in those games IIRC.
